My cuisinart does that

Has timer on it, high/low speeds, etc.

when it goes out I want the PIoneer woman pretty one at Walmart all I can do not to buy it, now. LOL

Go to crockpot website and take a look. crockpot dot com

They have some newer electronic models but I'm not sure if they are programmable re: on/off.

I’m not sure, I can brown like on a stove, bake and slow cook and set time..

I have a large one with a turn knob and plug it into a lamp timer. That way it turns on and off automatically and everything cooks in the desired time because there definately is a BEST time.

My Daughter got one for Christmas too, I think you can time it (I am so afraid to use the timer if not home & so is she) I have 3 pots, small, med & large all different brands but no problem. I did give her a crockpot cookbook too. She is still new to cooking and it helped give her some ideas.

I have a programmable crock pot that has a gasket and clamps on the lid so it can be sealed if you’re taking it someplace. I have no idea what brand it is, but that’s a useful feature.
