It should be good for waffle irons. I purchased one of those breakfast sandwich makers from QVC a few years ago, and every other use or so I spray some Pam on the plates. It does the job.

You might want to try rubbing butter all over the pan and then coating the pan with flour. Shake off the excess flour.

It’s just a suggestion as there are a lot less chemicals using this method. However, if you don’t want to use this method

regular PAM will work fine.

While you've got the Pam out, and if you live where it snows, spray some Pam on your shovel (especially on days with wet heavy snow) and it slides right off - no sticking. As the can runs down, buy a new one for the kitchen and put the can with some still in it out in the garage to be handy for the shovel.

I occasionally use it, but only regular Pam. And as long as @Havarti offered that great shovel tip, I'll add that, for the last 5 or so years (since I'd been unable to find shredder lubricant sheets), I started spraying Pam on one side of an 8.5x11 sheet of junk mail paper, then running it through the shredder. Works like a charm!
