Candace Cameron ridiculous price

Did anyone else get a queasy feeling seeing the price they are charging for two pans? A 13" skillet and an 8" sautee pan for $269 ?? You have got to be kidding me. I can get equivalent stainless steel cookware for about $50 at Target. QVC should be ashamed selling goods at an inlfated price like that.

If people buy it at that price why not. They constantly say they have the highest quality products, but you can definitely get the same, or better quality at other retailers at substantial savings.

This seems to be the trending price range for high end stainless steel cookware these days. I was researching Ballarini cookware and was amazed at the price points and the amount of cookware pieces you would receive. I think QVC offers and there will be someone out there that can afford or likes that brand of high end cookware.

Many of us are priced out. High end goods do not necessarily deliver high end performance. My pots and pans are in some cases 40 years old and still functioninhg just fine.

@Reever I too was a little shocked when I saw the price. Perhaps this brand is high end or worth the cost, but I've never heard of it.

I agree that higher prices doesn't necessarily mean better performance as I also have cookware purchased over 40 yrs ago that still performs. Just saying the prices are getting higher and some people are still going to pay the higher prices thinking the performance is better.

I have a set of Belgique from Macy's, and they are excellent. I've had them over 10 years, and they look as good as the day I got them. The only problem, is the silicone strip on the frying pan came off.

I thought she always went by the name of Candace Cameron Bure. Wonder what happened to the "Bure" part of her name. Never knew she was a cooking guru (of sorts). I see her occasionally on Hallmark movies.

I think the argument is ridiculous. Just because I wouldn't spend $75,000 for a car, Mercedes or Audi shouldn't sell cars at that price? Or because I wouldn't spend even $15 for a bottle of wine, no one else should? After all, I can buy a perfecrly acceptable car or bottle for less.

I give the vast majority of shoppers way more credit for wisely choosing how to spend their own money than OP does. How many little old ladies living far away from reality are going to cough up $300 for 2 pans? Who is it OP thinks she's protecting? Not a single person I know!

I agree, there is no shame involved, we all have different price points that make us comfortable. What makes me shake my head is that the Q doesn’t seem clear as to who their customer is . It seems like they are trying to introduce higher end items, but they push easy pay like crazy.

These pans are tri-ply stainless steel, which is considered top-quality cookware (think All Clad and similar brands), and the shatter-resistant glass lids and 10-year warranty contribute to the higher cost. Whether you want to buy them is up to you, but the asking price is in line with similar cookware sets.
