Kitchen week end shows

I was excited about the Kitchen shows starting late Sat and running all day Sun. till I looked at the line up. Keurig, Vitamix, temptations and lock and lock it looks like. Same ol, same ol.

That's too bad,infomercials. I used to like In the Kitchen with David but now I just preview the items online. The Q must have sweet deals with the handful of vendors. They used to even televise from innovative kitchen expos. Those days are gone.

I don't really watch anymore so tired of the same vendors and products and don't even go online anymore because there is nothing new.... Hopefully the Q will realize they are losing their base and do something to make the show interesting like it use to be, until then I shop around.

How dare they put their biggest sellers on television repeatedly to make money?

Do they not realize that their priority is to keep us entertained with variety because we are bored or too lazy to change the channel?

I'd love to see them offer us some variety in their cooking/kitchen shows - like a host who really cooks instead of just dumping little dishes into a big bowl, or different products that most of us don't already have. Emeril comes to mind. I could easily watch him for an hour every week!. I can also watch some of the QVC gals - Carolyn, Jill, Mary Beth, etc. When something or someone gets monotonous, it's time for me to look elsewhere.

Sure, there are some people out there who don't yet have a Kuerig or a VitaMix, but eventually something new has to come along. I hope QVC is out there looking for those new things now. I often see new kitchen things on television in the middle of the night. They're out there - we're just not seeing them on QVC.

That was a nasty post. Speaking for myself, I don't watch any TV shopping shows to be entertained. I watch them to see & learn about merchandise that I may want to buy.

I do change the channels of anything I'm watching b/c of being bored.

JMO, changing channels of TV shopping should be the last thing they would want a viewer to do.

you called it so right!! Most of these posters want to be "entertained" , why else wuld they continue to watch what the Q airs? Change the channel for pete's sake!!

And until they run out of repeat customers who already own two Keurigs, but get seduced into buying yet another "new" one. (I know one such person.)

Funny, I don't even turn on the channel anymore, but my husband occasionally will tag a kitchen presentation - I can fast forward through that puppy in 10 minutes to see it's the same old, same old. Yet I've been on the wait list for the one new product I'd seen there in months...it will be six months from its presentation before they "estimate" it will be in stock again. Darn me for wanting to buy something from them!!!

The products are good.....but, how about some newer products? Surely, the qvc-buyers are monitoring new products , or at least they should be.

The only reason I'd want these products now is if I wanted to get one as a gift....

(weddings, graduations, etc. ).

I hope they don't try to show a "kitchen appliance/gadget" as a Valentine's gift !!

Anyone want a complete set of Lock-n-Lock from their honey for Valentine's Day ??

Would LOVE a complete set of L&L for Valentines Day, assuming they are all filled with something. Each L&L container is sized right to hold a nice piece of jewelry. Larger ones can hold dark chocolate salted caramels, not to mention a couple of airline tickets and hotel reservations for Cabo or Caribbean cruise tickets. Spa certificates will also work.

I must be easy to please. I LOVE the kitchen events. You can keep your jewelry and clothing. Even if they are showing repeat merchandise, I always enjoy it.

I do get tired of the same ol' same ol'. But I generally watch some of the shows anyway, because I like the "feel" of kitchen shows.

And for those of you who keep track of such things, I keep the various shopping channels on in the background most days, and I buy much less than you probably think.

I love the kitchen shows. Haven't bought much lately, but I always enjoy watching. Did order a set of L n L the other day and plan to divide it among myself and my dd's. Will put some candy in theirs for either Valentine's Day or Easter. I don't think either of them would want a full set, but could (or should) use 3 or 4 pieces for taking their lunch to work. I am also tempted by the new counter size Food Saver. I like white and it isn't available elsewhere. I had a Food Saver years ago and used it a lot. Freezing in a bag just doesn't keep the items as well as a Food Saver.

As repetitive as the kitchen shows are, I still enjoy them much more than watching them repeatedly stroke the lining of breezies and talk about moisture problems. Or shave the dry skin off their heels during breakfast.

I do not understand..........Pull up the kitchen tab, and look at all of the items from the multitude of companies.......some VERY HIGH QUALITY companies......and why is it they never show any of these items.......EVER............ They do go from high end for those with more money, to lower end, that so many could afford (and I do mean in quality, not always price).........Why would you carry a product, that you want to sell, but never give them ANY air time, and show the people that do not use a computer, just what all you DO sell.......Someone, please tell me the selling logic (which I am sure some will) behind this type of offering an item, but never presenting it.........ANYONE...........

I was still tuning in because the shows have a "homey" feel that I like, but the same old products are getting boring. I'm also sick of the food shows being a vehicle for Mary, tech-communication, and yet another sofa-surfer to be compensated (I'd rather they lower the prices than pay unnecessary help).

As for my own personal taste, I'll totally pass on Temptations, KitchenAid, and Keurig. But that doesn't leave much anymore, in terms of what they want to sell.

I see one Lock & Lock hour at 4am. Already have a Vitamix, so I won't watch those hours either. I will probably tune into some of the generic hours, check Emeril out, and watch some of David's show.

I haven't seen a list of the stuff for the day yet, though. I'm better there's not much new.
