From his Facebook page this is his post from this morning:

"Hey Foodies! Happy Sunday ... wanted to let you know that I’m fine and away this weekend just enjoying a few scheduled days off. Mary and Stacey will join you today for 4 big hours of fun on ITKWD at Noon. I can’t wait to be back with you on Wednesday night for our time together in the kitchen! Have a beautiful day ... I think I’ll go to Sunday Brunch ... what a treat. 🥞🥓🍳😃"

This man was just off for the Christmas Holidays. He seems to be off a good 5 or 6 weeks a year. When I worked I only received 2 weeks off. And many people only get one week off.

I saw Dan Wheeler. Was good to see him he looks healthy. When he left QVC I was concerned he would be all alone. His daughters are now fully grown women and have lives of their own.

Strange - off a lot - family holiday and then Florida (according to his statement)

Don't really care if he's ON or OFF - find him annoying. Would like several different cooks in the kitchen.

Yes, companies differ in the amount of time off that is allowed.

It's the amount of time that you have been with your company. Two weeks off generally is for employees with less than five years. The longer you have been with the company the more hours that you accrue.

That's been my experience at least.

David has been with QVC for 25 years. Most companies give you more vacation days the longer you work for them. When I reached 25 years at my former place of employment I had accrued six weeks of vacation every year.

My UPS Man gets 6 weeks off every year. He's going on a week long cruise at the end of the month and he takes the entire month of July off every year. He's been with UPS for over 20 years. Many people get a lot of vacation time.

After being w/QVC for 25 years, I wouldn't be surprised if David gets 5 or 6 weeks of vacation time. That's a long time to be w/a company and I don't begrudge him the time off at all. I think it's fair for anyone w/that longevity.
