Hello!

Could you please request someone create or bring in Bakeware Protectors and Cookware Protectors? These are flat felt fabric separators placed in between ceramic bakeware or cookware. Make them in different sizes. The spacers protects pots, pans, lids, skillets and bakeware from moving - avoids sliding and scratches. Keep your items safe, secure and looking new!

Just a thought - that may be a HIT!

Regards,

Lourdes

I have cut them out of felt or that lining stuff they sell at fabric stores. It's easy to do and they last a long time. Also, I get the exact sizes I need.

Paper plates work ok, I use the Rubbermaid shelf liner that is thick and has a texture on it---I bought a roll for under $10 at the bulls eye store and cut out the various shapes I needed.

I briefly used paper plates between pans and paper towels between stoneware and glass baking dishes, but I finally decided it was worthwhile to invest in two simple sets of the felt separators (on Amazon). I love them! I was always careful with my pieces, but the virtual elimination of clatter when using the felt separators is wonderful.

Lots of terrific thrifty ideas on this thread.

I was tempted by the idea of making my own felt separators, but last summer's horrific humidity here convinced me against using anything absorbent, so no paper plates, old towels/sheet pieces, or felt. I thought squares of bubble wrap would work, but I'd end up with more "come into my mailroom" than "welcome to my kitchen," so I kept searching.

I ended up buying sets of six silicone splatter lids that double as bowl covers in the refrigerator and microwave oven and can also be used to help open jar lids and the like. The sizes in the set run from 4" to 14", and since I have a couple of Curtis Stone's big pans, I needed the biggest size. They do the separator job and then some, and they won't get musty or moldy when the steamy weather returns.

If you search for B06ZZJDNYF on Amazon, you'll find them. There are other brands, styles, sizes, and colors, but these work for me. YMMV, of course.
