Counter Space

I have more counter space in the kitchen than ever before. Love it. But I have no idea what to do with it! What things to put on it and how to arrange things so it looks nice but not cluttered , I dont like clutter

I would like some suggestions please!

I have a toaster oven on one side & a Keurig on the other.That’s it. I like a clean look.I don’t like clutter.

Oh I also have a clear acrylic anti microbial cutting board near the sink.

Don't put things on it and it will be beautiful! The fewer things the better! Maybe a couple of vinegar bottles and one olive oil bottle!

I love the look of clean/clear counter space.( I have such limited space.) What do you use every day? I would have my Breville microwave, coffee maker and toaster oven on it. I would have my crock of utensils next to the stove. Put the appliances where you have the traffic for those items. Since I love flameless candles, I would have two or three lanterns on the center island or at the end of the counter space that is void of an appliance. I like to stare at for a while and see if I like it or take a picture with your phone and see how it looks to you. Have fun with your new space.

I also really love clean, uncluttered countertops! On the big long section of my counter (which is an expanded peninsula, so there's only a short wall on one side), I've got my KitchenAid mixer tucked under the cabinets against the wall and a large fruit basket on the other end/corner. That's it. I love having all the open space, especially after enduring many years of small, shallow countertops.

On the smaller countertops near my range, one side features a small crock of colorful sheathed Kuhn Rikon knives and a larger crock of frequently used utensils, and the other side has a bread box up against the wall and open space in front of it that comes in handy while I'm cooking or putting things into the refrigerator next to it. Again, minimal and functional.

I have about 25 feet of counter space part of which is used for dining. I have a bread box, toaster, dryer mat for dishes, basket for bananas and apples. I do not like clutter either and only have out what I use on a daily basis.

My suggestions would include: a plant in an attractive planter, a large bowl filled with lemons or Granny Smith apples and a beautiful Boos cutting board.

LOL!!! I have a lot of counter space too.

I have a Foodsaver vacuum sealer, toaster, butter boat & bread box on 1 counter, a coffee maker, knife sharpener & paper towel dispenser on another counter, bread machine & Vitamix on another counter & my KitchenAid Mixer on another counter with a crock full of utensils I use the most.

I also have a higher bar top area in the kitchen. I don't put much on it because DH has a laptop there he uses & it's always there.

It does not look cluttered. There is plenty of room for all these items.

I don't like clutter so if it looked cluttered it would not be there. LOL!!!

I wouldn't fill up your counter with a lot of clutter.

Enjoy all the space when you prep and prepare meals, and bake.

If you have a nice window view or lovely finishes/appliances, maybe that's all you need.

You find a treasure you cherish, in an arresting color, and put it there (think pretty glass blue bird of happiness).

I have lots on my counters but I like it, though if I had to choose, the coffee canisters and Mr. Coffee would stay.

How about a bluetooth speaker? I love my red Bose, and I love to listen while in the kitchen.

In 1 or 2 spaces you can do a small vingette of interesting items. I've seen kitchens with a theme - by items & color. You can group 3 similar items together, placed on a small tray or basket -- easy to remove when necessary

There are many really neat containers for common, everyday items, such as for wooden spoons & spatulas. Along with salt & pepper, keep it all on a nice tray.

You can set up a coffee corner.

Think about what you reach for often, find some pretty jars or other containers to use on your counter, instead of inside a cabinet. This is probably more "stuff" than you want but some ideas

I collect primitives & have a wonderful apothecary, old stoneware, mortar & pestle, wood cutting boards, rolling pins, tin cookie cutters, wooden bowls, pantry boxes, wavy glass jars with tin lids, yellowware & more on my counters. I enjoy cooking in my kitchen, cleaning & moving my treasures around...I know it wouldn't work for others but it works for me. OP just add a few things you like... my friend likes swans & has a lovely carved swan & a swan shaped tile with salt & pepper shakers on the counter.

I envy you as I have an extremely TINY kitchen with very limited counter space. Unfortunately I have to keep several things on it.....microwave, can opener, toaster old Pepsi crate (dividers are like small shelves with a few knick knacks and in one I keep an assortment of breakfast/granola type bars. I also have two cutting boards and an antique crock bowl that houses my dry dishtowels, rubber gloves & pot holders. When I'm cooking or doing up dishes (no dishwasher), I use my table as counter space.

I'd go with a minimal amount of things....only use it for those things you absolutely use and need often.

Only put out things you use everyday or almost every day. Coffee maker. Toaster. Can opener. Utensils. If you are not a clutterer, you won't want decorative items, I expect. Done.

I have a small kitchen. One counter is 7 feet and the other by the sink is 4 feet. On the long counter I have a Keurig and a small toaster.

No jug of utensils as that drawer is right under my counter stovetop. There is a small marble slab with s&p and evoo.

I have a corner sink so in the space behind that is a decorative item I may change out at times.

If you are a coffee or tea drinker you could set up a really fun coffee bar. I don't have an abundance of counter space, but I made room for a coffee bar.

Lucky you to have a lot of counter space! The less I see on a counter, the better. The only appliance that stays out all the time is the coffee pot. All other appliances are tucked away in easy to get to cabinets. I like a pretty, coordinating bowl for fresh fruits or summer tomatoes. Maybe an attractive wine rack if you like wine. You could also go online and search for photos of kitchens and get some ideas. I don't have a lot of counter space in my town house, so I try to keep things cleared off - now if I could just get hubby to do the same!

I have the opposite problem, we have a small kitchen and it is not an eat in kitchen. I have far too little counter space. Drives me crazy!

I now have galley style kitchen with "limited" counterspace. Even if I had my old kitchen which was big with nice island -- I hate cluttered counters.

I just have a 2 slice toaster near stove and by the sink I have my coffee pot tucked neatly under the cabinet.

Nothing else is out. My small appliances are stored in my walk-in pantry.
