Zojirushi Microm 3-Cup Rice/Grain/Oatmeal Cooker

We bought one of these little rice cookers a few months ago and we just love it. It is the one that is black plastic on the outside.

It makes excellent steel cut oatmeal as well as several kinds of rice, it makes smaller portions (but still a LOT of rice or oatmeal for two people) and you can set it on delay timer.

Anyway, I just thought some of you might be inerested. It is in the $130 range sometimes, but coupons like BBB place and others and special find them quite a bit cheaper sometimes.

Anyway, this is a five-star review from me!

I’ve heard that brand...it’s a good brand, but...

ouch...$130? For a one-trick pony.

I make tons of oats, (steel cut & groats) as well as

many different types of rice with my 3qt Instant Pot...for $60.

And it’s a yogurt maker, pressure cooker, steamer,

extra burner (sauté)....etc.etc..also with a delayed function.

I have the Wolfgang Puck small rice maker. It's wonderful and I think I paid $30 for it. If you want a small rice cooker @sidsmom you might like the WP one. I think there are still some available on HSN.

Thanks for circling back, but as I mentioned in my thread,

my Instant Pot does cook rice, grain & oatmeal..

and a whole lot more w/ a smaller price tag.

@sidsmom My apologies. I have both the small rice cooker and a large pressure cooker (almost akin to an instant pot) as sometimes I cook for me and sometimes I cook for many. Giggles. Happy Cooking.

I have the WP rice maker too and love it. Small and easy to store and works very well. Easy clean-up too. I even bought an extra as a "back-up."

I love that little rice cooker!! Ive had it for a couple of years and we really enjoy it. I also have their breadmaker and its the best Ive ever had. That brand is terrific.

@sidsmom Sure I have all that stuff. But this makes wonderful rice which we use a few batches a week, and other things, plus the delay function. No, it isn't the cheapest think on the market, but we like this a lot and use it really often.

I love it, someone else might, so I just mentioned it. I am not on a crusade to make others buy what I buy, just noting a product we love.
