Purchased this dish at the thrift store. I pulled this off the internet, it's not an actual picture of my dish. I didn't know anything about it, I don't recognize what it is so I found out it's Gail Pittman pottery. Mass produced and marketed through Southern Living Hospitality line. But I also found out it was sold with an iron caddy.

The thrift store is notorious in separating items. Now I want to go back to see if I can find the caddy. I paid $2.99 for the covered casserole. I also found a cornflower blue Corningware 2 qt covered casserole in perfect condition also $2.99. And I purchased an Anchor Hocking 2 qt glass baking dish in a cobalt blue color with embossed detail, also flawless. It was $1.99. I don't mind buying glass items 2nd hand, easy to clean & disinfect. All of it looked brand new, never used.

Great finds @software - love treasure hunts in thrift stores. That yellow dish is really pretty with the scalloped edge.

Purchases I would DEFINITELY have made! I SO LOVE my ‘50-‘70s kitchen and kitchenware! Enjoy your lovely finds!!

i love thrift stores. i got a 18x18' marble slab for $ 8.00 and it is perfect to use for baking. i knead bread on it all the time.

you just never know whatyou are goig to find.

holy crow what a find! My cousin was a regional director with Southern Living at Home -- I'm sure that piece was well over $50.

I have many pieces of Gail Pittman thru SLAH. The quality is excellent & yes, the wire stand was sold separately.

There is a website for selling, swapping & buying which many consultants still use. Unfortunately, not open to public.

My cousin "scours" all the thrift stores looking for specific pieces. In fact, last month she bought a set of Old World Temptations for 50 cents-$3/ each. She says the same -- thrift shops separate the pieces.

I had a hard time figuring out what it was.

I only purchased it because it was flawless, I don't think it was ever used.

The mark on the bottom was difficult to see, but I searched around on the internet and finally found it.

There's one on eBay, including the caddy, including shipping, well over $50

There's one on the Replacements website marked down to $49.99, no caddy

I've also seen some Temptations at the thrift store.

I did go back to the store to see if I could find the caddy, no luck.

I rarely find anything this nice at the store.

I did recently find a very large beveled mirror in a nice ornate frame for $15.

It was flawless and looks great in my bedroom!
