I don't own this brand but I like them because they were deep and had a 10 yr warranty...I just decided the price was a little more than I wanted to pay for them!

@SharkE: No because I need helper handles on the side, plus any other help I can get. I need good cookie sheets that don’t warp. Just made DH a pineapple upside down cake. Had trouble getting pan in oven and had to put it on a cookie sheet. Few minutes later heard a pop from the oven. So DH now has a very lopsided, upside down pineapple cake😳. Southern Bee

you made it in a cast iron skillet didn't you ? only way to make that sort of a cake.

I found some OXO nice cake pans at B&B&B think I'll get them . 19 a piece and use coupon. OX0 makes good stuff. Got their lock down safe clear containers.

@SouthernBee Something tells me your DH won't care what the cake looks like because his loving wife made for him. Smiles. You've made me hungry for pineapple cake.

@SharkE: About 3 years ago gave all my cast iron pans to dear friend. Thay were to heavy for me and almost got burned trying to take one out of the oven when my hands cramped up and dropped everything on the kitchen floor. Southern Bee

@Misplaced Parisian: Very true about us. We try to spoil each other. DH said my funny flops usually taste better than the fancy decorated stuff. Cake was a little dry because I had a small can of pineapple. Tomorrow will be another day and try again. Southern Bee

I guess you can make a pineapple upside down cake in another type of skillet, but, sounds like you should go to bakery. I don't like heavy stuff either, but, seems like that type of cake does better in cast iron.

Just have one cast iron I drag out every once in awhile. tim Love skillet from HSN from 1000 yrs ago. It's enamel coated, though, on inside. Not that ol' dark iron stuff like Lodge has.

Sounds like you got arthritis.

@SharkE - I don't have that particular set of pans, but if you're looking for top-quality pans, I highly recommend the nonstick round baking pans from Chicago Metallic. You can get them at quite a few places, including online retailers and many brick and mortar stores (especially cooking/baking shops). I absolutely love them—they are very durable and bake food evenly and beautifully.

This brand has been sold on the Q in the past, but I haven't seen it here for awhile; the nonstick baking sheet and small and standard jelly roll pans from CM that I bought here are still going strong.

I don't own any of the cake pans, since I don't make cakes anymore, but I do own some baking sheets of the USA Pan Bakeware brand & they're really excellent quality. You can check them out on Amazon.

@SharkE: I used a foil 8x8 pan because I could not find my Pyrex pan. I had my counter top full because I was playing with my new toy- the air fryer.

I have arther and a few of his cousins but I am one stubborn Bee but very Blessed. Southern Bee

If I can butt in here. The way things were back in the 70's when I married is way different from today.

I set the table if something is missing I get up and go get it. I anticipate what we will both need on the table. Meals are at a set time, etc.

Nobody waits on their man any more. It's catch as catch can. Drive thru food and open a can, microwave expensive food and throw the cardboard in the trash. Nobody knows what real food is any more. When the young go to church or social functions when people from the 'old school' cook they don't know how to act. Not used to anything that isn't from a can, microwave pouch or drive thru.
