I have the Cook's Essential one that was 600W. It is great. I would go with the one with the most power and try it right away with a variety of things. If the coupon worked I might try his if you don't mind not having the power. The reviews on Paula's are mixed but some of the people didn't sound like they knew how to use it properly. They were still trying to use it like a regular one and just didn't get the hang of it.

Did anyone get this e-mail and does anyone have it? It looks interesting, especially with the lid and not taking up as much room as the KA stand mixer. I also received the 20 percent coupon, which, for some reason, I can never use. However, this mixer looks good and the coupon might work, so I am thinking of ordering. Just hoping that someone has used this and can give a review.

I've been watcing Chef Brad on BYU for several years, and really like him and his philsophy of healthy eating. He uses the Wonder Mixer for everything, and has done so for long before the others came out with their models. I have a KA mixer and am not in the market ti replace it, but if I was, the Wonder Mixer is the one I would choose. Check it out here:

Wonder Mixer

I make the doughs in November, form them into balls, roll out the ones that need it and freeze them then when I'm done I bake them all and refreeze until I make the trays. I also always have one of my freezers full so the following year when I need cookies to bring anywhere I have them and we always have cookies when we feel like it. I make about 16 different kinds each year and usually try 1 new recipe.

@Pook

 That is truly amazing! They must be absolutely delicious.

It is so kind of you to give so many away. I bet you get lots of smiles.

Just copying my observations here that I posted in another thread in the TSV forum:

After looking at the machines I would say the guts of it is exactly like the Cooks Companion mixer and not really like Paula Deen's. Even the power is the same as CC mixer. If you look at the assembly of the beaters, scraper etc. it mirrors CC. But, Wolfies has that digital control panel that lets you time your mixing operation which CC or Paula Deen's does not. That looks pretty cool to me and useful. I am tempted even though I am not one to use a mixer much. But I might use it for mashed potatoes which I wouldn't ordinarly do with my hand mixer (the only kind I have presently). I also like that it has a smaller footprint and height than Kitichen Aid and PD and weighs much less than Kitchen Aid. Of course that loss in weight is because a lot of plastic is in it, so........

==============================================

After a little more research:

Feeling less inclined to buy this after reading more reviews on Cooks Companion and similar, very expensive Bosche and Ankarsrum mixers on Amazon. One recurring problem keeps coming up, the plastic scraper and other plastic attachments are relatively fragile and break under little pressure. Even the Bosche and Ankarsrum mixers as expensive as it is has that problem and I don't think Wolfgang's at its price point is going to be more durable, only time will tell with his version so I prob will wait and see reviews before buying. It is bound to go on sale again I imagine with black friday and holiday shopping around the corner and HSN is pretty good with offering discount coupons regularly.

But another reason to wait, I already have on order from ebay a vintage yellow Sunbeam mixer circa 1970. It is a pretty cool looking machine, all metal parts (I think mostly) plus I like the vintage nature of it despite being pre-owned. I really should give that time to be delivered to me and give it a test ride doncha think? LOL.

Sorry but from looking at the video and the way it just pushes the meat around and doesn't mix it makes me think that the "planetary action" KitchenAid mixers have is really an important point.

This simply wouldn't do a lot of the things I do with my KitchenAid mixer.

I think the design is brilliant. Having the top all open and easy to dump stuff in looks easier than a KitchenAid mixer.

Obviously this and a Kitchenaidd is not a fair comparison because while they both can do the same things, we all know a KitchenAid would be built better, and it would last longer. Plus the price is much more.

I like the smaller footprint, I like to be able to see exactly what is going on in the bowl (with a KA you have to keep lifting the beaters to see). So that comparison is like apples and oranges imo.

For just THIS mixing machine, I really like the design. The price is not bad. I would like it just for the bread hook and making dough since I have to make all my bread gluten free. I have his bread maker from about 6 or 7 years ago and it still works fine. I find Wolfgang's products are good quality, and I have had good luck with his products.

Just now watching him make meatloaf was a draw in itself. I LOVE meatloaf, however, I HATE making meatloaf. It looked so easy.

I am learning (slowly) how to make everything gluten free, but I have been getting along fine so far. This is just a "ooo, this might make it even easier and faster". I only cook for 2, but this looks like I could make bigger amounts and then freeze

I am too on the fence to jump on it, but I know I will regret the free shipping and 5 payments AND the January 31 return policy! All I keep thinking is "one more appliance that I just don't have space for".

Regular bread and loaf breads (pumpkin especially mmm) , pizza dough are one the the things I miss the most. If this thing could pump out dough fast I would be so happy!

I am just talking out loud (either into it or out of it LOL). I have never had a KitchenAid, but quite honesty, I don't know I would ever buy one now at this age in life. I wouldn't use it enough. But this might be a good second choice option?

Thanks for posting my thoughts. You did it better then I could. I've been looking at reviews and the KA Artisan always seem to be on top. But, I like this WP style. I'm not a fan of WP though and not sure I want to give him my business.I checked the wonder mill and liked it but some reviews weren't that good (as to be expected for anything but some were concerning). I'm also thinking of storage. Everything gabstoomuch said applies to me,except the gluten part isn't a concern. I'll probably won't get it.I just have 9 minutes to think and usually out of sight out of mind. I'm glad I saw this style though.
