Here is my recipe:

Trader Joe's Marsala Burger (found in the frozen section).,,,so yummy, a special treat

Dave's Good Seed Bread (Sam's or Costco),,,,another special rare treat.,,toasted and spread with Veganaise

On one piece of toast place the Marsala Burger, Trader Joe's sliced pickes, onion, lettuce. tomato

On the other piece of toast - sprinkle SO Cheddar cheese (found at Sprout's and Whole Food) and place under the broiler

Serve with my homemade potato salad.

There you have it.,,,the best dang cheeseburger I ever ate .,,,and still do about twice a year for Memorial Day Event and maybe another for a picnic treat. Now I have another good reason: National Cheeseburger Day!

Not a fan of cheese, but I could live on hamburgers. As long as they have mayo, mustard, tomato and a big onion, I’m good. Dill spear on the side works too.

Just a few of these in my part of East Texas and Texas Monthly has given award to being the best a couple of times. Cheeseburgers and onion rings the size of my head practically. Local owned and oh so greasy good!!! I have been thinking about them all day but which of the two locations should I hit, one by my office or one by my home.

My favorite cheeseburger is sadly no longer available. There used to be a local fast food joint called "Paul's Place" that served something Paul called the "La Bamba" burder. It was a hamburger patty, grilled and topped with a Tillamook sharp Cheddar slice, salsa, sliced avocado, and sour cream. I think Paul made his own salsa. That was so yummy! I need to just grit my teeth and start making this at home, but even if I do, it will never be as good as eating it at Paul's Place!

@CamilleP, I love avocados, but I never thought about putting them on a cheeseburger. Thanks for the idea.

I have mine pretty plain—mayo, any kind of cheese, tomato. Until next time when I add avocado.

I'm late to this but my all-time hands down favorite cheeseburger is a

short rib/brisket/chuck blend. Add cheddar cheese, arugula, garlic aioli. TDF.
