I wish they would use actual pots and pans or an oven door from someone's house, instead of using burnt on gravy master to imitate the build up of grease.

Totally agree, cause whatever they use as "grime", MY grease and dirt is evidently a LOT worse!!!

Almost bought this stuff then I thankfully read the reviews.

Oven cleaner (spray) works great on the bottom of pots and pans (not aluminum) and oven doors, glass bakeware.

IMO lots of trickery employed to sell some things. Household cleaners, hair product sellers, think in those before photos they wash their hair with battery acid, an exaggeration but they think we're dumb, skin care products, lighting used to reduce look of lines. All in the name of getting us to empty our wallets and fill theirs.

Love this posting - Just this weekend I thought of David's 'story' as I tried GP66 on.....exactly that....the stove. I threw out one bottle of it after trying it on bathroom fixtures.....but still had one left and I bought new drip pans for my stove. It did work on the light grease rings but - no way - did it budge the large burner. Had to use Simple Green ..............second bottle going in the trash. Water in a bottle!

I have watched those demos and wondered how they do the magic. I think they use something like syrup to paint on the surface to simulate the so called baked on grime on pots and pans.

Then like magic when the "miracle" cleaner or the "scrub" sister is used the faux grime is removed in one swipe. There is never any second wipe or any thing left--just one swipe.

I don't believe most of the demonstrations.......like the power washers.....they spray them on dried dirt...(a reg hose could clean them off).......you never see "real mold"

or stains....... the steam cleaners they pour the stain 30 seconds before they vac it up....i think MOST stains would come up easily if you get them up in 30 seconds!! I have seen the vendors lightly scrub the "inferior" brand and REALLY scrub the brand they are selling when doing the cleaning demonstrations.......the make up/beauty ones are so funny when they show before and

afters.....with HD tvs you can see barely a difference.......many times the pic has different lighting, etc.....or the bra side by side pics...before and after....you can always tell the model doesn't stand as straight in before....and stands tall in the after pic...and when they demonstrate the bras under tops...you can tell the model is wearing a unfitting bra in the before (which will look horrible either way) and suddenly she is wearing the bra they are selling and it works wonders!! ha. And one of my favorites is when they are now showing the pics of 3 different size models wearing the same outfit..............the pics are def not representative of the live models standing there showing the clothing.....they are carefully put together to make the product look complimentary................i could go on...sorry...haha.

@shaggygirl so true re those before shampoo photos. They look like they put their wet finger in a socket. Then of course the after is professionally styled.

The on-air demos are like the old home show ones. Anyone remember those? I loved watching those carnival barkers at work.

There is nothing special or magical about a cleanser.

Yes they need to use actual pots and pans that have been cooked in with food & left sitting there overnight so you can see how it works.

Putting what they put on things seems to wipe off easy. Who knows what it is or how long it's been on what they are cleaning.

Just let it set a minute , then rub off the dirt/grease/ mold ! in what universe? I don't think this has ever been my experience. Power washers are great when strong enough , but it takes a lot more time than shown in my experience.

Wrinkle creams are for the most part shown on 20 somethings . I did not have wrinkles then.

Take it from someone who once sold MLM cleaning supplies...The demos are set up to look awful but be easy to clean. Not real life dirt. Plus they are fresh and not old or baked or dried.
