I had 2 of the bakers and I put my turkey in one this past Christmas. My oven was set on 400, when I pulled it out of the oven it had cracked down the middle. I was very upset, I had another one before that came out of the oven with cracks all over it. Has anyone else had similar problems, I am not sure if I want to order another one or not.

This is a somewhat common problem with Temp-tations, and if you call Temp-tations customer service, they should help you with replacements. If it is a recent purchase they will ship it free, if longer owned, you usually have to pay a shipping fee. Helps to have your QVC item number available, and the size of the pieces you need replaced. Their number is available at Temp-tations.com. Don't try the web sites email address, as they never answer those.

I had a similar issue. In late Oct early Nov. my 13x9 cracked. Called QVC had wonderful customer service and got the number for the company.Spoke to Temptations customer service, who was rude by the way, and said they would get me another but was on back order. I called again late in November and they again said "backorder" but I should have it early Dec. (Of course, the 13x9 was being sold in the sets at that time) Again, the customer service Temptation person was rude. Well,it's January and I've had no follow-up or baking dish.

It's frustrating because I really like the product but this is just bad business for Tara.

Every one of my Temptations eventually cracked...and I don't even bake a lot.

I have never had a problem with Fiestaware, even stuff I have picked up at estate sales.

I have a 3 piece set of Lidia's but the Q discontinued it. It cost more than Temptations but that too is holding up very well and is totally non-stick.

I've been buying Temptations for years back when the only color you could buy was the green. I don't really know how many pieces I have but it would be several sets, plus lots of the accessories. I use mine almost everyday, (have 2 of the 9x13's) in all that time not one piece has ever cracked. I love it and have given a lot to my girls for gifts.

Not saying it won't happen to me someday but hasn't yet.

So disappointed in my Tempations. Both bakers cracked at 450 degrees and even worse, the paint dripped off into the bottom of my oven! I know that some of you have had problems with cracking, but what about the paint? I am so curious.

I have the old world pieces and I love it. However, I had a loaf pan crack in the oven during the Christmas holidays. The oven was set on 350 and was in the oven for 30 minutes. I have also had a problem with the oven dishes sticking. If I don't spray them with a nonstick spray, the item will stick. I have the muffin (6 muffins) pan and it always sticks if I don't spray the pan.

i don't use TT, I use another ceramic brand. But, I wonder if the cracking has anything to do with with not tempering the bakeware? I know this time of year I pull out my Fiesta and it is stone, iceberg cold, I mean freezing cold. Ceramics really hold the heat and the cold. I always rinse my bakeware in warm, then hot water for a while until it is warm. THEN I fill it and put it in oven. I know TT like other ceramic ware is suppose to be freezer to oven, but sometimes I think that isn't the case. I think people should try tempering the bakeware and see how that goes. It also could be a weak part in the clay

I had a glass baker crack in the oven once, and I lost the cassarole I was cooking. It was scary and very frustrating. You are always thinking, will this happen again?

I have used Pyrex and could not stand it. Threw mine away. I like the idea of trying to temer it I had not thought of that. Both pieces that broke was around Christmas time and it was very cold. Will remember this and try with other pieces. Love the way temptations cooks and will continue to use it, things happen with any product you buy.

Many people have been injured by shattering glass.

I had heard about this for years, but CR confirmed it. We got rid of the last of our "modern" Pyrex and Anchor Hocking.

We use high-quality stoneware (Emile Henry, Le Creuset, Polish stoneware, and French porcelain) and have never experienced crazing or cracking.

My 9x13 backer developed numerous spiderweb cracks all over it also. Called customer service at temptations. The person I spoke to had a bad attitude but did send another baker. The second baker also developed the same numerous spider web cracks. I don't feel comfortable using this dish because I feel it would have the same properties as a wooden cutting board harboring bacteria in the little cracks. To me its a very attractive dish but not a well made product. These dishes were well cared for.
