Harry and David pears? A cake? Lobster? Iced Tea? REALLY? Basically water?

The list goes on and on.

I cannot imagine that I would pay that much for peaches, but I really have not had a delicious peach in a long time. The ones that I have found for too many years always taste mushy. I do see that The Peach Truck sells them for $48 a dozen with $5 shipping, along with a jar of their peach jam, so they are also quite pricy.

Now - white peaches are in season. They cost more than "regular" peaches ... but nowhere near $15 a pound.

At the moment they are just over $2.00 each at local supermarket.

I think I would pay $2-$3 for one but I would not be buying a whole box.

I think we paid over $30 per box of peaches last year for Colorado peaches.

I'm pretty sure it weighs more than 2 lbs. It fills up one crisper drawer & I put the rest in a large bowl.

YUM!!! Can't wait to eat some yummy peaches.

We usually go thru at least 4 boxes.

@Diva on The Q OMG! I agree! I've never been known for my math abilities, but it took a minute for me to figure out that is $5 or $6 a piece. I think I looked up and it was 4 in the $30 pack. Can't remember now, but way, way too much money.

Seems like a lot to me, but then I can buy them from the store or I get them from a neighbor. Every year he and his wife go to Utah to visit their sons and one of them has a peach tree so they bring a bunch home. He always brings me a bag of them and they are divine!

He always says that Utah has the best peaches. I don't know that from shinola but I DO know that they are spectacular peaches. I love peaches so much and I love the smell of peaches even more.

I picked up a couple the other day... on sale for about $3.00 per pound. Delicious! But over $1.00 per peach, and they were small. $30/lb? No.

I obcess over tomatoes (Beefsteak one's). My neighbor has a wonderful (and large garden). He has the most amazing tomatoes in the summer.

I'd pay that for a really good tomato, but I don't have to because my friend (and neighbor) gives them to me. We are best buds. Thank goodness. Ha!

I say, "When I die...put on my tombstone. "Here lies Annabelle...she loved a good tomato".

I would throw down a lot of $$ for a really good watermelon, field ripened and sweet and juicy. I will pay premium price for a great steak. I'm not talking Omaha Steaks or Kansas City either. . .
