Are you addicted to Lock and Lock storage products?

Just curious, is anyone here addicted to Lock and Lock storage products?

The reason I ask, is I have a neighbor that has boxes and boxes of unopened QVC Lock and Lock storage sets in her living room. Her kitchen is full of Lock and Lock in her refrigerator, freezer, and pantry. She has Lock and Lock in every room of her house. Different colors and sizes. She must have hundreds of Lock and Lock products.

Her house resembles a Fed Ex Delivery Center! So, what is it about Lock and Lock products that you find so appealing?

BTW, I love the call-in testimonials.

I have many sets, but I do open the boxes as soon as they arrive, wash them and put them to use. Storage does get to be an issue though as I have many that are not "nestable." I like them because they keep items fresher, have many uses, look nice, etc. I keep my pastas, rice, sugar, flour, etc. in them as well as deli meats, cheese slices, and, of course, leftovers. Tomorrow I'm going to go through some of my older sets and use them for items other than food--laundry detergent, garden stuff, etc. I was tempted by the TSV, but I don't need a set with so many large pieces. I use an older TSV with the really small ones every single day.

No. I've found the quality to be quit poor. Crack and stain easily. I was extremely disappointed.

Just my opinion, but it sound like your neighbor has some issues. If she has boxes and boxes of 'unopened' Lock and Lock, she could possibly be a hoarder.

I enjoy Lock and Lock because it does what it claims to do. It keeps my food airtight and watertight. I pack my lunch for work and use Lock and Lock all the time, feeling confident that nothing will leak out. One day, I brought leftover pasta with sauce. As I was making my way to the school microwave, I dropped the Lock and Lock. Everyone gasped, laughing, 'There's a big mess for you to clean,' but they were wrong because it didn't break and nothing leaked out. Everyone was amazed. I turned several of my colleagues on to this great product. It's great for storage in the 'fridge and freezer and works well in the microwave. I can go from the freezer to the microwave using one container. I make a lot of homemade soup in my crock pot and store it in the freezer in my Lock and Lock. When I'm in the mood for some soup, I take one out of the freezer and pop it into the microwave and I have a quick meal. All in all, it's a durable product that has many uses. That's why I love my Lock and Lock but I wouldn't consider myself an addict.

@docsgirl

I noticed she has stacks and stacks of old newspapers and Life (?) Magazines in her bedroom. Almost floor to ceiling of old magazines.

I just thought that she's just a thrifty person, because she saves everything!

Looks like I finally kicked my Lock & Lock addiction--not going to buy the TSV......have a few sets I haven't used yet! Needless to say, my family is very proud of my addiction recovery!!

I like them (my husband just came out and we got the blue ones!!) we use them for name it! Sewing things, dog foods and snacks, fridge storage for left overs. At holiday time, these are for sending others home with left overs, especially the single ones. I put hair things and storage things in them. I do hard boiled eggs for my husband.

I make cookies and store them in L&L. I now have a really neat and tidy junk drawer. I mean, I have plenty of them. I can use them. I even offered my son and husband a couple to take along in the boat for fishing, should they need them. ??

It's a great product.

@EatWell, I have probably 3to 4 different sets, I bought the TSV today going to use most of them for cleaning up some drawers. But, back to the question, I open all my pkgs when I receive them. Just hoping lock&lock will make a pizza container, then I'll be set.

I like Lock n Lock, and have a few sets. I use mine for storing food and craft items. My mother has them also, and I just got her a new set a couple of weeks ago... not as good a bargain as the TSV! She bakes brownies and sheet cakes, which we freeze in small pieces. She had been using old Chinese food take out containers. The Lock n Lock is so much better!

But, no, I'm not addicted! It does sound like your neighbor has a problem.

I'm not "addicted" to L&L, but I do love the product (and ordered the set today). I've never had an issue with the quality, nor have i experienced staining issues. I'll probably retire some of my old round sets, since I find I prefer the rectangular shape.

i am addicted. LOL

i have sets for my home and sets for my beach home.

i had a difficult time NOT buying todays special value.

i predominantly collect red or clear for home, aqua and peach for the beach.

i also have the auto delivery sets that were seasonal (so i switch them out each season) and i have a number of holiday sets that i bring out in november. i also have a stash of the holiday bowls that came with the gift bags. i gift them during the holidays with candies or homemade treats.

would LOVE for them to do something for a bundt cake. would also like an appetizer and dip serving and storage set.

I don't consider myself addicted to L&L, but I am addicted to being organized. I have purchased a lot of L&L over the years, but it seems to have feet of its own - my pieces walk away regularly and I find myself reordering. My husband and my son have adopted a few of my pieces for their uses, as well. My son went on a road trip recently and used my reusuable grocery bags for luggage (no, I'm not proud of that) and he packed his toiletries and doodads in my L&L. I now limit my collection to the rectangle pieces, for the most part, as they are space efficient and I have a small home and kitchen.

@EatWell I don't think I'm addicted since I use all of the ones that I've purchased. I love Lock & Lock, I just finished packing up about 15 of the small zen square 1 cup containters with snacks for work this week. If you would look in my kitchen cabinets, refrigerator or freezer, you'll find a LOT of Lock & Lock, I store just about everything in them. And not just in the kitchen, I just put all the pins for sewing in a small round one, the little plastic box they come in will open if dropped.

TSV is a great deal, and perfect for sending relatives home with leftovers during the holidays. The larger sizes are good for storing dry dog food.

If you've ever had any trouble with ants, Lock & Lock is a must!

I bought my first Lock and Lock 12 piece set a couple TSV's ago. I really like them and they have held up well for me (no cracking,etc). I will continue using the set I have and when they wear out I'll replace them with a new set of Lock and Locks.

Nope. Do not own any. I find the programming boring and a bit demeaning. They are just plastic containers for gosh sakes! To go on and on about them for 24 hours is just embarrassing.. Then again, this is the channel that had 24 hours of selling an umbrella.

@So, what do you think about those women who call in with their positive Lock and Lock testimonials? Sometimes these call-in testimonials are like @ 2am to 3 am.

Aren't these Lock and Lock products better than the plastic storage containers you buy at the supermarket?

No, but I like them. I asked Santa for today's TSV. By Christmas my old set will be ready to be tossed out. They only keep so long before they look scuffed. My current set is over two years old.
