I have a Spiral Slicer 3-in-1. It spirals, slices and shreds depending on the blade you put in. Got it at BJ'S on clearance for under $10. Great purchase! We have spiraled, sweet potatoes and regular potatoes.(oil fried and baked) Zuccini spirals instead of pasta. I liked it, the rest of the family was mehh. Carrots and cukes for salads. I like it. It is fun and the spiraled veggies and fruit are a change from the boring slices all the time.

I love mine! My favorite thing to use it for is "pasta" style zuchinni and yellow squash. I've looked at all types of these things but since I love veggies I decided to buy the attachment for my Kitchenaid mixer. It's a snap and easy to clean. I would suggest that you buy an inexpensive one ( I usually see them at BBB) and try it out.

I've done apples in mine. It makes a sprial ring which is great for baking. Kids also seem to like to eat the rings instead of the whole apple by itself. Being a grandma, I was always looking for ways to get fruits and veggies into my grandson. You can put cucumbers thru this or any soft squash. It makes great salads or veggie dishes. The sprial ring is a great time saver to just make a few slices thru the item and move on to the next step. I have a few different blades with mine so I can do items like small eggplants and different sizes of apples. I really love it for the squash because it makes for a quick and healthy dinner. I also like the fact that you can use the type of "spaghetti" with just butter or sauce or cheese. It makes a great lunch if you have a meat and potatoes type of dinner.

I have tried quite a number of spiralizers including the ones from Puck and Ming, but returned all. When I finally bought the Ninja one from QVC # K46587, I have finally found what I feel comfortable using. It's fast, easy to clean, and also comes with a separate chopper container and blades. A winner all around.

I have two different ones, a hand crank one and the Kitchenaid attachment. They are sightly different so I'm keeping both. I really like mine. I'm not much of a pasta fan, but I like the sauces and dishes so being able to make them with vegetable noodles is a win win for me.
