They usually do that to show that - for example: Meat is juicy, or that a confection is not hard and crumbly. Stuff like that.

I agree---which is why i find most food shows unwatchable. Seeing someone squeeze the guts out of a food item and pull it apart with bare hands is absolutely disgusting. And then we have to look at the food stuck to their fingers and nails. Blech.

They squeeze it or scrape it wth a knife or pull it apart. It is an ugly mess. I usually watch something else.

I don't watch the food shows. In the past I tried a few items--50/50 as for satisfied or not. The ones that were "not"--I did get a refund.

For me that is the biggest selling point. To just look at the food while they say it's great does nothing to entice me to buy. If I see how juicy, soft, etc shows it's not just food that may be dry, hard tough, etc.

Does anyone notice the presenter for David Cookies soumds like she is having trouble talking/loosing her voice. She is like that all the time. It pains me to listen so I mute. I like Davids's Cookies but can't stand to hear her. Yea, I know, change the channel. Like I said, I mute her until presentation is over.

chickenbutt: I *think* the OP once got called out on using caps and I *think* she explained that she has to use caps because of her vision. I could be wrong but I seem to remember this.

I know that on the internet that caps mean you are screaming, but truthfully does it really make a difference ? You can't hear it, so what does it matter ?

@elizabethl123. How do you suggest they show the texture and amount of moisture in the food? Because it's TV and we can't touch, smell, or taste the food, they must resort to other means which may not be so appealing.
