I live in California and can get Cara Cara oranges at the Farmer's Market and the grocery store for $1.50 to $2.00 a pound. They are just another type of navel oranges. Does anybody live where they can't get oranges? Why else would you pay QVC prices for oranges?

I prefer the Cara Cara oranges as they are less bitter and have less acid. A short season, I think, so I'm okay with paying more.

I love Cara Cara oranges. I think that I've seen the last of them, though, for the season. My supermarket sells bags of what are described as Heirloom Navel oranges, and they are also very good.

Cara cara oranges are everywhere around here. It surprised me when QVC brought them on. I also saw some honey belle look alikes because of the cone/tangelos in Sprouts that were just as juicy and just under a $1 a pound. Some of them were sweet and a few tangy but they were good.
