They have had this for a long time. . . It isn't new. It is stoneware.

I LOVE my Le Creuset cast iron cookware mainly because it is made with care in France. However, the tableware and inexpensive bakeware is made in China. I won't buy it because of this fact. If they ever go the cheap route and start making the cast iron cookware in China, it will be bye-bye for me. I just don't think items of quality are made in China right now.
