I love seeing this product back on air, but have to say I can't understand why they didn't stay with the previous manufacturer.

In my opinion it was/is the best 'brand' of Polish stoneware out there.

These are nice, but just don't really measure up to the previous brand (can't spell it unless I look it up!).

I don't own any Polish Pottery but remember enjoy watching the shows from yesteryear. The older company designs were more intricate and the pricing was much higher. Perhaps Q thinks this price point will bring in more buyers.

That platter was a steal ! 65 bucks ! Must be a different vendor. I got one bowl from the other gal I can upload pic after while and I paid a fortune for it

Remember i wanted the bigger one, but, settled on this smaller version.

Just use it to raise bread in when it's a small loaf of something I'm making.

I was lucky enough to go to Poland to purchase my pottery.(family in military in Europe, so I was able to travel there) I went to many oulets and "factories" in Poland. My first choice of pattern wasn't available with enough pieces. I settled on Pansies. My pottery is Unikat and signed by the person who handpainted it. I was astounded when I went to the "factory." So small and I got to meet my craftswoman when she came to pick up her greenware and take it home to paint it. She brought a cart to pick it up. Her worksmanship is impeccible and everytime I use a piece of her pottery, I think of her. I also have many other pieces of pottery by other factories but I always favor my Pansies. That was almost 20 years ago and my pottery remains perfect, thru baking and dishwasher. My pottery was not mass produced, rather with a personal touch. It was a wonderful experience that I will never be able to duplicate. I recommend Polish Pottery, never a problem.

The factory Gloria used to bring to QVC has over 400 people working there. Lidia mentioned that there are only 25 people working in her brothers factory. I have pieces from both factories and I have to say that the quality is the same. But the price point on Lidia's is way better. Also I see the factory Gloria carried, all over the internet. I really feel like Lidia's items are more unique since they produce way less.

I heard the vendor say this morning that because the pieces are hand made that the lid on the covered cassorole may not fit exactly but that is OK because it allows steam to escape. I would not like to get a lid that doesn't fit. But then I check out each blouse in my size and color before I buy so that I get the best one. Know thyself.

That just means that their isnt a silicone lining to seal it shut. Any stoneware lid you are going to have will just rest on the product. I have a few lidded polish pottery bakers and they bake beautifully. I wouldn't bake in anything else! My large pieces I wash by hand just so they don't take up all the room in the dishwasher, they clean up so easy with a sponge.

I have several beautiful pieces from the original lady ( I guess it was Gloria) and have never been disappointed. I have always hoped that particular brand would be brought back, perhaps with another person in her place. I watched the show, and you could tell the new pieces were not of the same quality. Am I wrong? And WHY can't QVC bring back the original? I would be interested in your comments as I know there are more knowledgeable people than me out there. Thank you.

Poland is a third-world country. If you are an American, you hire someone to watch your vehicle while you are in any establishment, we also carried all our own food and water. Beautiful country. I will stick with my special artisan who painted my pieces, many in different patterns. Over 700 pieces. I was up close and personal with her. She did two garlic/shallot jars just for me that were shipped later, several bakers as I told her I loved Hummingbirds. One of the most humble, genuine and gentle persons I have ever met. My daughter and I wanted to give her some money but it is not allowed. However we went to the local grocery and set her up an account. She will always be in my heart. I don't know about big factories. the government came down and put a 40% tax on anything sold labeled Polish stoneware/pottery. This caused much distress to the smaller factories. My friend still paints as I have a local Polish Pottery Store and I always look for name.
