It was past the 30 days so I called Cuisinart. I had to ship it back to them. They shipped me a new one. I have been using it since Sept 2012.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Here is the info from the owners manual for steaming your veggies.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Vegetables should be well washed and peeled if necessary. Vegetables cook very quickly – be sure to use Quick Pressure Release immediately after audible beep sounds. If vegetables require more cooking, turn pressure cooker off, and cover to steam the vegetables until preferred texture is reached. Add ½ cup water or liquid for cooking. If pressure cooking frozen vegetables, 1 to 2 minutes additional cooking time and longer steaming time may be needed. When cooking vegetables it is always best to undercook, then allow additional time to steam – to avoid overcooking.       <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/14857"&gt;@CLEM&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;the IP is incredibly easy to use.&amp;nbsp; Please do not be intimidated as I literally took mine out of the box, threw some stuff in there and had a great meal in no time.&amp;nbsp; Mine came with a great, laminated cheat sheet which was all I used for a long time.&amp;nbsp; To be honest, I have never used the slow cooker function as I don't have a glass lid to fit but yes you can steam in it.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;And please don't worry about the SS container as it is a breeze to clean up.&amp;nbsp; I have had mine for years and have never encountered any problems.&amp;nbsp; I just love it.&amp;nbsp; I had a CE one before it and it was fine but the IP just performed much better.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

It was past the 30 days so I called Cuisinart. I had to ship it back to them. They shipped me a new one.
