Need a Plastic or Stainless steel straw cleaning brush?? Where I found one....

Cleaning the straws are a pain, needed a straw brush. I went to the kitchen section of the store, didn't find one. So I went to the sporting goods section. There they were, where stainless steel tumblers were. The pack had 4 plastic straws and a cleaning brush for about 2.50. 😊 😊 😊

I got them at Walmart.

I found a pack of 3 stainless steel straws that included a cleaning brush for about $6 at Walmart. They were hanging in the soft drink aisle.

Glad I read this. I’ve often thought a straw brush was needed but didn’t think such a thing was made.

Never heard of anybody cleaning straws. The things I learn on this message board!

After one use I throw out. I buy my plastic bendable straws from the Dollar Store. 800 straws in a pack. I always buy 5 packs at a time.

Why would anybody clean a straw? I'm with the last poster - get a box of 50 or whatever - toss in trash when done. Nothing cheaper than straws. (now I've heard everything)

Ladies, they're not talking about plastic straws that come 50 or 100 to a pack. There are tumblers, insulated cups, mugs, etc. that come with a heavier plastic straw that is supposed to be reused. THOSE straws are difficult to clean properly. Hope that helps!

Not if you put them on the bottom dishwasher prongs or utensil tray & air dry.

Put on your playtex gloves & run hot spicket water inside the straws right after use.

Thanks for the tips about the cleaning brushes. Some people are purchasing metal straws because of the environmental issues caused by the use of plastic disposable straws. They end up in waterways, especially oceans; poison and entangle marine life, and other problems. The plastic holder on a six-pack of soda pollutes the oceans similarly. Another problem created by "convenience" products are the one cup packets for coffee machines.

I have a set of metal straws as well as sets of bamboo utensils that replace plastic cutlery. They, too. cut down on pollution.
