I can't thank you enough for this post. I belong to air fryer groups on Facebook and the most asked question is time and temp please. Most people don't know how to search for this info. When I received my air fryer I searched each and every food I'd eat and made myself a list similar to this and keep it on my refrigerator. I was checking out a recipe book for air fryers and I'm thinking, why doesn't someone put out a book for times and temps, and hence I did a search that found me this site.

I don't need recipes. I know how to cook most foods. Great list. Thanks

Tips For Air Frying from Debra Murray

If you have a new air fryer you will love how crispy and delicious the food comes out whether your favorite recipes or you use any of the delicious pre frozen foods available in the grocery freezer section.

The cooking times and temperatures on the package will work the same in the air fryer, you just do not need to preheat.
The air fryer is basically a compact convection oven with rapid hot air that circulates around your food. There is no need to add oil to the air fryer.

Some air fried food will brown better if spritzed with oil before air frying, but do not add oil to the fryer, only on to the food before putting in the fryer.

If you want to steam roast which gives you awesome crispy browning on the outside, the liquid helps to keep the food moist and juicy, add 1 cup of water, wine or stock to the air fryer.

Not to come up over the basket. Seafood, roasts, some vegetables are brilliant that way. But it will not benefit air frying, only roasting or baking.

Here is a chart to use as a guideline. Remember some food manufacturers will differ slightly.

Ingredient quantity temperature time Tips Additions

Thin Frozen French Fries 1- 2 cups 400 degrees 10 min Shake 2 times Spritz w/oil

Crinkle Cut or Thick Frozen Fries 1-2 cups 400 degrees 12 min Shake 2 times Spritz w/oil

Fresh French Fries 1 cup 400 degrees 14 min Shake 2 times Toss with oil

Frozen Tater Tots 1-2 cups 400 degrees 12 min Shake 2 times

Frozen Sweet Potato Fries 1-2 cups 400 degrees 12 – 14 min Shake 2 times Spritz

w/oil

Fresh Sweet Potato Fries 1 cup 400 degrees 14 min Shake 2 times Toss with oil

Frozen cheese Sticks 6-8 pieces 400 degrees 8 min Shake once

Frozen Chicken Nuggets 1-2 cups 400 degrees 12 min Shake 2 times

Fresh Chicken Nuggets 8 pieces 400 degrees 10 min Shake 2 times Spritz w/oil

Frozen Chicken Tender 4 pieces 400 degrees 12 min Turn half way thru

Fresh Chicken Tenders 4 pieces 380 degrees 10 min Turn half way thru Spritz w/oil

Frozen Pre -Cooked Chicken wings 8 wings 400 degrees 20 min Shake 2 times

Raw Fresh Wings 8 wings 400 degrees 25 min Shake 2 times Toss with oil and season

Frozen Fried Chicken 2 pieces 370 degrees 20 min Turn halfway thru

Fresh bone in fried chicken 2 pieces 370 degrees 25 min Turn half way thru Spritz with oil

Frozen Fish fingers 8 pieces 400 degrees 10-12 min Shake 2 times

Fresh Fish Fingers 4 pieces 400 degrees 8-10 min Turn half way thru Spritz with oil

Fresh Fish Filet 2 - Perfect for Phillips air fryer, Cook's Companion, Todd English Fryer. I know how to cook most foods. Great list. Thanks

Thank you so much for giving us this chart. I have 2 air fryer books and neither of them give cooking times for frozen items. I have just used my new Phillips air fryer for the 1st time --hot wings--and am very grateful for this chart. What are your favorite air fryer books?

Thanks for your help.
