Bought the Ninja 4 in 1 Cooker

I received this yesterday so I want to try out all the different functions right away.

Used the steamer function today to steam some Salmon. It came out moist and delicious. Also, after timer ran out, it immediately went to the keep warm setting.

So I know that at least this works. Will try another function next week.

Any suggestions?

Hello Clem. I have had this for a few years and love it. I don't use it every week as I use my pressure cooker, air fryer and my new Breville Smart Oven Pro also.

I love the lemon whole chicken recipe in the book that came with it. I think it had lemon and thyme also. I have made banana bread and corn bread on the steam setting and they are excellent. I made soup in it also. If you want to brown the top of any breads don't use the steam setting. Things do cook faster in this so watch them a few minutes earlier until you get used to it. The 4-in-1 Ninja Cooker is really nice. I have the blue and my daughter has the cinnamon.

I have made the spaghetti recipe and the pasta and broccoli recipe and they were good also. You can't go wrong with any of the recipe in the book that came with it. That book is one of the best that ever came with any appliance I purchased.

Enjoy this as you can use this for so many things.

I just got the new Cooks Essential 5.3 quart air fryer in the Cobalt blue and really like it. I just bought a 5 pound chicken to make on Sunday.

I ordered the cinnamon one yesterday after watching this for years. I have an old Nesco 6 qt. roaster that still works fine, so will save the Ninja as its replacement. I took advantage of the reduced price, six easy pays and free shipping. Can't wait to receive it.

@Clem Are you aware that there is a hosted Facebook site for Ninja users that has hundreds of recipes contributed by users? Anyone owning this appliance should check it out.

I love making stews in my Ninja 4 in 1. You brown the meat first in there, then you add the veggies and seasonings and put it in slow cook mode, then when it is done, you can put on warm setting.

The one thing holding me back from purchase is the non-stick interior. I wish it was stainless instead. I try to avoid non-stick coatings whenever possible.

You definitely should check out the Ninja Multi-Cooker System group on Facebook. So many recipes & tips. I check there first for any Ninja recipes or ideas.

Thanks for your responses. I am glad I purchased this since everyone is really happy with it. This model is no longer being made because there is a new one out there which has a lot of pre-programmed recipes. I did not want that one. But if you really do want this older model, I would not wait any longer.

I was thinking of making a stew next, but have to go out and buy all the ingredients sometime next week.

Perhaps I will go to facebook and check out the recipes, but I absolutely hate that site.

Hi @MKR14 So nice to hear from you. I take it your health is stable and you can finally go on with your life without having to go to the hospital all the time.

I have ordered this cooker in the cinnamon and it looks really nice. I loved my pressure cooker, but gave it to a friend who has been eying it for a long time and doesn't have the money for a new one. So, I will be getting a new one at some point. Saw a nice Breville one, but it is a bit costly. But will keep looking. My first one was from Todd English which I bought about 5-6 years ago.

Question, my Ninga 4 in 1 has a problem with the slow cooker temperature. It does not cook slow and low. It cooks fast and hot. Any suggestions for an alternate cooking method that will be slow and low temperatures?

Yes I am doing well and thanks for asking. No hospital stays in quite a while now. Had a little set back a few months ago but it went away sooner than normal. I am eating everything I am allowed on my list as before now but watch myself that I stay on track. Some food is better than no food and I like to eat.

I have a Cusinart Pressure Cooker and it has been awesome. Four other relatives bought this also and have never had any problems. I found it at Lowe's and have had mine for three years. I believe there is a 3 year warranty on them also. It cleans up like a dream and is easy to program. Simple settings. You can brown, sauté, High and Low Pressure settings, Menu and a Start/Cancel and Warm setting and that's it. It has a decent booklet with it also. It is silver and has a very nice coated insert that cleans up in a breeze. It is simple to lock the lid down. I know there are many out there but I returned a Wolf Gang Puck one and another brand before finding this one. My daughter had hers first and I loved the ease of use and clean up from this one.

You will find the Facebook site for the Ninja 4-in-1 very informative when new to this. Pinterest also has about every recipe for most appliances now also. I love Pinterest.

Be sure to tell us all about the yummy things you make. It is nice to fry and sauté in one pan and then cook in it also.

@MKR14 When you suggested the cuisinart pressure cooker, I checked it out. The reviews are impressive. I will look into that one. Thanks for recommending. I won't buy now, but will wait a while. One machine to test at any given time is all I can handle.
