Formaggio 3 tubs of "salad mix" just featured on Gourmet Holiday. Am I the only one who feels this is outrageous. But... if it floats you boat who am I to say? Still I have to laugh at it being presented as a BARGAIN! LOL

@faeriemoonI can cook - I just happen to find it not much fun at all.

We can't spend each other's money - and I suspect if each of us were to list our top ten expenditures over a decade of our lives (individual purchases unless they're huge are pretty meaningless), we'd each find something listed that we ourselves would shy away from.

So - if I want to spend $50 for some food, I do it knowing I didn't spend $50 someplace else that you might have. Doesn't mean either of us is "right" - just means we have different values or maybe different abilities.

I have laughed at some of the prices of the last couple of days like Junior Cheesecake for $200.00. These prices are just out of control and they are not bargains in any sense of the word.

Was more of a comment on skyrocketing prices across the board and implication of bargain pricing rather than a judgement on how one should spend their money or their ability or desire to cook. No offence intended.

I'm still in shock at the price of that Junior's cheesecake...I saw on the screen it was a "One Day Only" price of $199 and I'm laughing, saying "where the heck are my glasses?

I think I'm seeing an almost $200 cheesecake on the screen!"

Lo and behold, put on my glasses and YES....there IS a $200 cheesecake on my screen!.

Unbelievable! But oh, yeah, at least the shipping and handling was included!

I laughed out loud at this item's price too. I buy the very same thing at my local grocery store for $9.99 a lb..... and that is at the olive bar where they have prob 20 different things to combine for the same type thing in mind. These food shows are hilarious!!!!
