enough about food......moonshine

i have watched "moonshiners" on, the history channel and now, i'm seeing moonshine, in the liquor aisle, in the grocery store. it's a little pricey, so i was wondering what others thought of it. i'm not a big drinker- a glass of wine, or two, but i'm curious. thanks, for your thoughts.

No it's not.

My DH has a friend who gets him the real deal and then we make apple pie (used for shots) and it's fantastic. But straight moonshine was.......wow!!!

Italian on my dad's side... not only did he make wine down the cellar, but my uncle, who owned a catering business/bar & restaurant -- kegs and kegs! My dad also made snake root moonshine. That stuff would cure whatever ails you!!!

I'm mostly a tea totaler now, but I love cooking w/ wine.
