      <description>&lt;P&gt;It's a ginger cut in to coins and boiled until tender. &amp;nbsp;Then the sugar is added to the boiling liquid to make a syrup and the ginger is placed in sterilized jars and covered with syrup. &amp;nbsp;It is used as a flavoring in foods where you don't want chunks of ginger fibers.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As in cheesecake.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
