LOCK N LOCK TSV SET 😄

I purchased the Lock N Lock TSV and it arrived 2 days ago. I'm replacing all my old plastic storage containers that are cracking and peeling.

They stack for storage in 1/2 the space of all of my Rubbermaid and Tupperware.

I make a lot of double/triple recipes when I prepare spaghetti sauce, chili, meatloaf, and soups. Having many sizes of storage containers that go freezer to microwave is a must for me.

I plan on replacing all my 'other' containers also with the tsv. But unfortunately I'm replacing some lock and lock too- they've stained from tomato sauce. When I store acidic items from now on, I'll use a zip lock type bag as a liner.

I love Lock N Lock. I only store tomato-based products but I do not reheat red tomaro sauce in them. Mine bubbled and stained when I did that. Otherwise I really believe their sealing system makes my veggies last longer.love, love. Enjoy

I'm waiting on mine. I'm in southeast/south-central Georgia. With Irma coming, our deliveries will be delayed. We are expecting 40-60 mph winds and 75 mph gusts. We do get those kinds of winds during our thunderstorms, but these will be sustained winds, so that will be different. We are expecting 5-8 inches of rain, and I live on a dirt road. I've parked my car and don't plan on going anywhere until Tuesday at the earliest. Looks like I have another long weekend to clean house and tidy and purge.

I too will be replacing my old. They will work to play with, in the potting shed, and in the utility room for odds and ends. That way I feel better about tossing them, even if they are peeling/bubbling. If I can use them in some way, I will, if not, I'll toss. I imagine there will be plenty of trash to be collected then.

@LizzieInSRQI find items stay fresh longer in L&L better than sny other brand .

I just recieved my crystal blue ones this a.m. original EDD was Monday . (the postman actually knocked ! --I thanked him ) I find I really like the little sparkles in the lid.

@Tigrisssounds as though you have a plan for L&L and the weather . Best of luck to you.

Hi Shanus. I love L&L...too much probably ( how is that a bad thing...right). I thought I'd pass a little tip about freezing in it. I freeze items as well, but once they're frozen, I pop them out of the L&L and put them in a Food Saver sealed bag. When I'm ready to heat it up, I pop it back into the container. That way, you don't tie up all of your L&L in the freezer. Have a great day.😊

I stored pasta sauce in a lock and lock in the freezer- then in the frig so it could defrost. And heated it up on the stove-- the container is stained! . I'm trying to clean it with chlorox clean up, but so far no luck.

@Ibby114 I would store things like that in ziploc bags double bagged. Squeeze the air out, then seal, lay flat on a baking sheet to freeze, then store. We freeze most of our liquid things that way and most of our veggies we put up during the summer. It takes up less space than containers and doesn't stain.

We store everything, including stain-y type food, in L&L both in the freezer and the fridge. We have never has any staining whatsoever.

One thing that don't do, however, is put L&L in the microwave.

I had vowed not to order them, but caved and bought the black set. I just unpacked them this morning. I'm very happy with them. My kitchen has white cabinets, dark grey countertops and black appliances. Although I have many bright colored L&L, the black ones look nicer if I have to leave them on the counters for any reason. Rectangles are my favorites in my small kitchen.

@Tigriss It was older lock adn lock that stained, I'm going to be more cautious with my new set. Thanks for the great suggestion!!

I LOVE Lock n Lock.....that being said the chef who always presents the product looked BEAUTIFUL when she presented the TSV Sept. Wear regular clothes more often and wear your hair without all the chef's garb. The effect of the clothes was breathtaking for you!

I've had quite a few stain as well. I thought they weren't supposed to. I bought the new set anyway because I just love them. My entire house has lock n lock all over it. LOL
