I received my book a few days ago. Do they really test each recipes 30 times? What a great book for a learning cook. I love the fact that they write what is good about a recipe. Many helps with brands etc. I am impressed and wish I had this book many years ago.

I looked at it the other day at sam's Club. Should had bought my Taste of Home Fall Baking there they discount them instead of paying full price.

Learned my lesson. Did buy the Grit book on bread. My speciality. LOL

Good biscuit recipe in there gonna try.

Cook's Country is stuff we wouldn't eat.

My beef with Cooks Country and America's Test Kitchen is that if you want tthe current seasons recipes you have to buy whole new books that include all the previous seasons.

The websites want way too much information and at one point one of them wanted you to pay to be able to access the recipes. If you do a little digging most times you can find someone that blogged the recipe you're looking for.

I own one other Cook's Country, and I bought the 10th Anniversary book on Amazon. I like it for their product recommendation and for many their recipes. The regional recipes are sometimes overdone. If you don't like the regional food they cover, you tend to skip the chapter. However, it is a great read. I buy cookbooks for reading cover to cover. Then, I remember where to go whenever I want to make something new. Their recipes work, but I find them a bit complicated at times.
