We made steakburgers using 1 lb chuck roast + 1 lb top sirloin. It made 6 burgers. They sure were good. It's the only way I want to eat a hamburger now besides 5 Guys.

I used my KitchenAid meat grinder attachment. Ran a few slices of stale bread thru it to clean out the meat. It works.

I made pot roast with the leftover chuck roast yesterday. Yum!!!

Have you ever ground your own meat for burgers?

My mother used to grind chuck stead and/or top sirloin - kosher - bought at the local butcher in Brooklyn. She'd also fry onions. I still have the grinder with the wooden pestel, which is used to push the meat down. It's sitting in my garage - and it's from the 1950s. I recently bought 1/3 lb. top sirloin burgers from Costco - frozen. I know ur are a lot better. Enjoy.
