Sugar Kiss Melon

I bought a little round melon in blue netting at Wal Mart the other day and it was the best piece of fruit I have ever eaten! Anyone else had these? I can't imagine the sugar content but I will look it up. Hope some of you will enjoy them as much as I did. I bought another thday and they are $2.99 each.

A Google search resulted with this:

Ultra sweet and juicy. Sugar kiss melons are sweet, soft melon with pale orange flesh and a pale netted rind. Similar to a Crenshaw melon.

I purchased a sugar baby watermelon at our local farmers market a few weeks ago and it was so delicious and sweet. Since then I purchased some regulars at the grocery store and not nearly as good. I will have to inquire as to what area they are grown. It was pricey in comparison but one good watermelon a year is worth the price.
