Mine is also that old. But before you toss it out.... call them. There are things they can help you do to check it out. And if you have the original directions or can find it online you can do some simple procedures that might help.

My older version takes all kind so K cups... not just those with their codes. So I am reluctant to get rid of it.

You may have grounds stuck in the opening. When my Keurig gets slow to dispense the coffee, I take a cake tester (but a large paperclip would work) and stick it up into the small metal piece that is used to pierce the top of the Kcup. Usually some grounds come out and then I run it with several water only cups and it clears it up. Good luck, and if that doesn't work, call their customer service department, they are very good, but may suggest the same thing or it may be time to descale your unit (especially if you don't use filtered water).

Also if you look in the Keurig section at WM, they have cleaning product that you can run through your Keurig that cleans the hole unit out inside. Made mine like new.

I take mine apart and throughly wash it monthly. I descale it and unscrew inside so I can get to the tube. I blow it out and you should see all the grounds caught in there! Put everything back together and its like brand new again.
