Kitchen Aid mixer storage- any ideas?

This is a picture of the mixer in my friend's pantry. She's looking for something to put her Kitchen Aid on, in the pantry, that is like this but has wheels so she can just roll it out. Any ideas? It can't be taller than 10"' including the wheels.

There are plant stands or dollys on wheels that are readily available, but they might not be tall enough.

Some appliances are easy to stow away in a cabinet or pantry. IMO, the KA mixer is just best left on the counter. It has an awkward weight distribution that makes it kind to tricky to move around easily.

Not helpful, I know... Has she considered just covering it?

Look for a CPU stand. They should be short enough to accommodate the space. You could also look for an "under desk printer stand" but they might be too tall. Here's a picture of a CPU Stand:

I would never use my KA mixer if I stored it. It is too heavy for me to lift. I do have a cover; wish I could find a new one, but never see one in a nice color for my kitchen. My old over is quilted white fabric which does look good in my kitchen.

I suggested a taller rolling stand to put in her breakfast nook, but she doesn't really have room for it. I wouldn't want to have to bend over and pick it up all the time either.

I searched printer stands earlier and while the while the concept is good, they're too tall. I'm going to search CPU stands for her and also just sent her several screen shots of rolling plant stand/dollies.

She is going to injure her back hoisting that mixer virtually from the floor!!! Put it on the counter or a waist high cart.

This works great. You will need better castors for something heavy. It is just the right size. I roll it in and out of my pantry. This made by International Concepts. You can stain or paint the bottom and just oil the top.

the-cover-store.com has plain quilted covers and I've seen some really nice ones on Etsy.

I have mine on my counter. I would not use it if I had to get it out of the cabinet or pantry because it's too heavy. I have felt feet on it which makes it easy to move. One of these would be nice.

I'd bet that no one here has a smaller kitchen than I do, unless you live in an RV, and I can't imagine putting my mixer away. I'm really curious why anyone would do this?

I have 2, both our out and proud. One on a wheeled cart an done on the main counter.

When they're out, they're used. For everything. If you have to mix it, it's just a easy to get a bowl and a fork as it is to use the bowl and paddle.

@gidgetgh I do like the plant stand on rollers idea. I am sure there is one big enough to hold it.

There are also several types of Origami carts on wheels. Some are telescopic and some are not.

@house_cat- I really have no idea. She and her husband just moved into a new house. There's a breakfast nook off the kitchen and I suggested putting it on a rolling stand there but she sent me a picture and she has it pretty well filled up, without being cluttered. The kitchen proper doesn't have anywhere for a cart.

Mine resides on my counter under the cabinet with room to spare. I have the Professional 600 (575 watts) and I put a Kitchenaid cover over it in red (my accent color). It's very accessible this way however the Kitchenaid cover is somewhat short for this big mixer and they need to make one that will fit this bigger machine.

I have no problem pulling it out and using it whenever I want. If I put it away somewhere it would never be used.

Yes, it's heavy, but well worth it.... I have the original with the metal bowl and bought the soft edge beaters and find it gets all the mix at the bottom. I bought the machine specifically to make a cookie recipe that I have that requires very little liquid and is a bear (if not impossible now I'm older) to make it without mechanical help! This is ~the best~ bar none appliance I have ever purchased for my kitchen!

I have it in dark metallic gray....
