Shame on Q ... Lamb is in season, beautiful cuts anywhere....all on sale prices, grass fed, USA, Australian - all natural.. butchers willing to cut any way needed.

People constantly complain about the prices on Q's food. Yet they are having more and more food shows, it seems. Seems like a lot of folks out there are not bothered by the prices. Neither am I.

While I agree that I personally think QVC food is overpriced, I also acknowledge that many QVC customers are disabled or are in very rural areas and just don't have the luxury of going to many stores for lower prices.

At least they still have an option to buy it here and if they choose to pay more for that convenience, it's their choice to make, it's their money.

Why is it so "shameful"??? Like any other product there are less and more expensive ways to purchase. They (QVC) are just selling the product and while they can offer a little bit of a value, the company brand really sets the price. It's up to the consumer to decide.

Sometime ago I discovered that much of the mutton grown in the US, at least in the Southwest, doesn't taste like mutton anymore. It's very mild almost like veal. Very disappointing if you're a lamb lover.

I figured out why when visiting a sheep ranch where my Collies got some herding practice. They are raising a breed of sheep called Dorpher Sheep which are bred specifically for their meat. They're fuzzy but don't have the fleece you usually see on sheep and they're not shorn. Many people don't care for the taste of mutton, so I guess they're catering to them. To me, the meat has no flavor. I could buy it from this rancher, but who wants it?

Think IG hit the nail on the head. I ive a 20 minute drive from Boston and can get anything, anytime.and have plenty of places to price compare But lots of people can't get out or there are no stores nearby.

The food must be selling since every time I turn on the Q there is lots of food.

I think lots of things people pay for willingly would be a misuse of my money, but we're each spending our own. I like it that way.

Yes, indeedy!! Well said.

The basic formula is - they sell what people will buy. How does that not make sense for some folks?

The value is established by the market, i.e. if enough people will pay the price to make it profitable, it makes sense to sell the merchandise.

Very simple and it must be working for them or they wouldn't be making money. It costs a lot of money to do business on tv.

Sorry to seem on a rant, but these threads are a dime a dozen (there must be at least 6-8 of them running right now around this board), and it gets tedious.

Moral of the story - buy what you want and don't buy what you don't think is worth it for you. That's what I do and it works pretty well. HTH

If buying the food on QVC is convenient and tasty.... then it's worth every penny! Having it arrive at your front door is convenient~!!

It's all personal preference anyway.

I recently bought 10 Lamb Chops from Sam's Club that are gorgeous! Will be making those soon.....
