Needing Cookware recommendation for cooking candy

Hi everyone, I am searching for a new pot to make pralines and fudge for the upcoming holiday. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive pot to cook my candy? My budget is no more than $65. I only make them 2-3 times a year or special requests from my family.

Pretty much anything will work. Cleanup for candy is easy as simply filling the pan with hot water will dissolve the sugary mess left behind and make cleanup easy. Just fill it, leave the water in it for an hour or so and the mess largely disappears.

Traditionalists use large copper pans, but I just use stainless and it's fine.

My mom has always made fudge in a bare cast iron pot. I generally make pralines or other cooked sugar type candy in clad stainless.

We used stainless and a candy thermometer in all my Foods and Adv. Foods classes. Have fun!!!
