To begin I love these spice blends, the combinations smell amazing. I did find that they are saltier than I expected, I got a little grind happy, and I could have used a lot less. One of the blends is actual sea salt that has been applewood smoked. It smells like BBQ. Anyway, I know some of you watch your salt intake, so just know, you don't need much to achieve good flavor. I think I will enjoy using these.

Your welcome. Have you tried any of them just floating in oil and you dip chunks of Italian bread in it? OMG - so good! My hubby's favorite appetizer.

We went to a party in Pittsburgh and they gave each table a jar of really great olive oil and then set a couple of these on the table so each person could do whichever flavor they wanted. At our table everyone made something different and we passed them around. Also nice to add some grated parmesan to it as well.

I haven't tried the oil yet but have been served that combo with spices in restaurants.

Last week I ran across an article that listed 10 brands of olive oil that were heavily diluted and 10 that were good quality. I tried to figure a way to post the long article but there was too much heavy commercial advertising that went with it so I figured it would be zapped.

They did say to refrigerate your oil as a test, and good quality should become semi-solid. The only bad brand I had heard of was Pompeii.
