Yes to everything except Broccoli, Swiss Chard & Kale, and the dried beans. Love salmon, and I think my salmon is better than most restaurant salmons, which is saying a lot considering my cooking skills.

I've started looking at avocados like I do bananas. So many times avocados are used in a savory, not sweet recipe, but it's an OK substitute for a banana. They ripen similar to a banana, the texture is about the same. Taste is a bit different.

There are ways to "sneak" it into other recipes, like small chunks in potato salad or almost any salad. Mashed in with your egg salad. They are cheap and available and not too hard to peel & pit.

You can also substitute avocado in cake or quick bread recipes. I just wish I could get the California avocados. All the fruit around here is from Mexico.

@2blonde

We have many of these foods here too. A few of these during the growing season we grow - kale, rainbow chard and we've grown broccoli too. While we don't use dried beans very often we do eat a lot of beans and many kinds in many ways. LOVE salmon, eat it at least once a week but we mix in a lot of other fishes too. We love fish. I eat more nuts than DH, love pepitas too, sunflower seeds, pine nuts, walnuts, almonds. It's best to eat nuts unsalted too. We always have avocados, use these many ways too. Our Aldi's carries sweet potatoes all the time so it's easy to have these around.

Eating anti-inflammatory foods is a great idea, since inflammation is linked to so many conditions and illnesses. But to get the most out of them, it's a good idea to cut out the foods that are causing inflammation in the first place.

According to the Arthritis Foundation, these include:

- sugar, including fructose and sucrose

- saturated fats, and the list cited pizza and cheese as the biggest sources in the American diet

- trans fats

- omega 6 fatty acids, in excess

- refined carbs

- MSG

- gluten and casein

For more info, see http://www.arthritis.org/living-with-arthritis/arthritis-diet/foods-to-avoid-limit/food-ingredients-and-inflammation.php

Most of them NO.

I'm okay with almonds, olive oil, broccoli, sweet potatoes, and most any color of a dried bean. I love products made with strawberries and blueberries, but do not like the raw fruits. I am allergic to citrus, and avoid oranges.

You couldn't pay me to eat an avocado, kale, or salmon.

Everything but kale is good. well, except maybe salmon. Occasional salmon is good once a week or so. Wild caught is really tastier than "farmed". Is canned salmon okay? I sheepishly ask as I like that the best even though I should want the wild caught.

Most, but not all, of the items on the list are on my forbidden list due to kidney disease. Love blueberries - any berry - and the only way I will eat salmon is in salmon patties. Just about can't stand it. Other fish - no problem.
