Sam's Club skillets are the best. I can't fry in stainless steel. Everything sticks and shreds. Sam's has 'Chefs Choice' think it's called and it's great.

After years of non stick cookware, I recently purchased Costco's Kirkland brand of All-Clad cookware. $159 for the enIre set and it is fabulous. I thought it would be hard to clean, but no. It cooks beautifully - much better than expected. I shied away from All-Clad because I thought it would be hard to clean but I was so wrong. And, for the price, the Costco set is exceptional. I suggest taking a look. I do not miss my Analon non-stick at all.

For sure. If you watch Puck fry in ss he keeps squirting more and more olive oil in the pan. SS you can put in dishwasher that is good. Then, after they fry something they hurry up (before the pan starts burning) and make a 'roux', (gravy) by adding some liquid ingredients.

I'm sticking with non stick for frying eggs spray in a tad of Crisco spray.

ss cleans up great and can go in dishwasher best part of it. Tshirtgal got a good deal at Costco.

No way would I pay upwards of 1000 ! I'd rather have a gold bracelet. LOL

If you are looking for a good non-stick pan for your eggs I could not recommend Curtis Stone's brand more. I have a set of three of his pans and they are the best. I use the small one pretty much every day and the non-stick is still as good as when the pans were new.

I like non stick frying pans from a company Update International Super Steel. These are commerical quality pans with a triple layer on the bottom, and single layer sides.

Thanks to everyone for your responses. You have saved me a great deal of money. I started to make an expensive purchase but thought I should ask for help on this forum before I would take the plunge because it has helped me so much over many years. I was glad to hear about the all clad nonstick--not for me. The Curtis Stone fry pan set is the one I will try. Thank you mtc for the information.

That was great advice, NickNack.

I have some All Clad d5 and Copper Core and love both.

As for non-stick, Cook's Illustrated/America's Test Kitchen reviews all kinds of kitchen equipment and gadgets. They wrote that ALL non-stick cookware, regardless of what you pay for it, will eventually lose its non-stick properties so it doesn't make sense to purchase expensive non-stick cookware (which of course All-Clad non-stick is). The CI review recommended one of the T-fal non-stick lines. I heeded their advice and purchased one of the T-Fal nonstick lines about 4 years ago at a very reasonable price. I am careful with it (never use metal utensils) and it still functions beautifully. I know that eventually it will not work so well and at that time I'll purchase new inexpensive non-stick cookware.

Don't waste your money on anyone's expensive non-stick cookware.
