Bait and Switch ITKWD

I just tuned in at 3:00 Pacific Time to watch In the Kitchen with David. So he announced that the whole first hour would be cleaning products. I guess it will be the TSV. I'm not watching it. At least he informed everyone. Except viewers who tuned in late.

@chessylady FYI: That's NOT what bait and switch is. It's called a "programming change" and they do it all the time in radio and TV.

Doesn't bother me. I don't watch ITKWD anyway. Can't stand the silliness and the phony takes on "Southen". But I love it when there's a guest host, and I am enjoying watching Mary on Saturdays. Thanks QVC for some more serious and more knowledgeable variety. Mary is definitely more interested in the product than in the food, unlike other hosts.

If anybody outside of qVC read these posts noone would believe it They are either criticizing hosts for just being themselves or pointing out that something doesnt mean something Who does this stuff except for unhappy people with nothing to do but read this forum Who cares that David is on early with cleaning products If you people think these things are important I feel sorry for you Everything in your head doesnt need to be stated Keep your negative opinions to yourself because you hurt innocent people just trying to make a living

@mollymaggie I think the innocent people making a living are doing just fine. The OP has accused QVC of doing something (bait & switch) which is in most jurisdictions highly illegal. She needed to be corrected.

While this is clearly not a bait & switch or anything anywhere near that, I found it odd that, since they have one hour of this cleaning TSV stuff BEFORE David's kitchen show, and one hour of it AFTER his 2 hour show, it seemed a bit much to do a hugely long presentation of it during his 2 hour show.

I just find something else to watch, so that's fine but it does seem like a bit of overkill.

When the presentation started, during the kitchen show, I went in the kitchen to do some work and a bunch of vacuum sealing and afterward, they had just finished that presentation.

Now, it's almost 6 and it will start again. Hopefully, they are selling enough of this product that it makes sense, I guess.

I would like the kitchen shows to focus on food.

The TSV presentation took a large chunk of time out of a 2 hour show.

Southern is making fun of how some people who live in the South say words like pie incorrectly. Thankfully very few people actually do this.

Bingo! I would like the shows to focus on food and COOKING, good cookware, tableware--dishes, serving, dishes and flatware, and maybe some good aprons, potholders, and storage items like those plastic containers Ina Garten uses for broths. GOOD ones are impossible to find in stores.

Why don't they put together good sets of dish cloths, those pop-up sponges and a couple of scrubbers? How about some universal fit lids cheaper than All-Clad's? GOOD useful trivets of several sizes. Why not put a kitchen set of dish cloths, sponges and pot holders on an easy pay for seasonal sets? In the fall a couple of harvest dish cloths, towels and sponges, a couple of holiday reds (or sets with blues rather than reds)? WOuldn't you like some nice sets that you could get delivered for the season osr even send for gifts? With some seasonal scented hand/dish pump soaps?

She "needed to be corrected?" Wow, the audacity. In my opinion, the Board Police need to get a sense of humor. I suppose some are too dense to realize that by "bait and switch" she simply meant that we expected to see ITKWD and not cleaning products, but then you knew that.
