Kitchenaid Artisan Stand Mixer Mini?

Does anyone have or has any plans to get the Mini Stand Mixer? I saw it on ITKWD yesterday and I'm interested since there is two of us. What are your thoughts on this item? I'm getting mine through Williams Sonoma since I get 20% off and Free Shipping.

That's a 'white' toaster that is gonna be gone as soon as I can get the Kitchen aid red. LOL

It would be wise to stay out of the kitchen during a severe T-storm. Electrocution is always a possibility.

I hadn't seen it presented, so I just looked at it. It's 20% smaller and 25% lighter, but the price doesn't reflect that. I don't see how it can function the same when it's that much lighter. If you have dexterity issues, it might be a good choice, but otherwise, get the bigger one - it won't be long until you wonder how you ever did without it.

I use mine for smaller jobs comes in handy to have a mixer mixing egg whites when I'm busy with the batter or performing a task elsewhere I can save time by having the mini do the mixing . don't have to stand there with my hand mixer for 10 min. or wait till the big cuisinart gets done and wash that bowl to get it clean for the egg whites.

I have no help in the kitchen. Husband just comes in the kitchen when he knows it's time to eat, so, any time I can find a time saver and like having a 'hired hand' in the kitchen I'm all for it.

Your kitchen looks clean and I'm sure you make some delicious meals in there, but I get anxiety feelings just looking at all that stuff on the counters and all those cords. Do you have open workspace somewhere else in the kitchen?

If only I had Sharke's kitchen, I would NOT have sold my large 'Artisan' Kitchenaid mixer two years ago. Purchased from Macy's, and it was too heavy for me to lift onto the counter--the lady I sold it to was grateful for the $100 off~!
