Is there a lifetime warrantay on Lock & Lock? One of my snaps is broken. Does anyone know contact info for replacements?

If you bought them from QVC, they have a "lifetime limited manufacturer's warranty." Whatever that means. I don't see any fine print that explains.

"Normal wear and tear" is excluded. I suppose they'd cover a broken snap if the piece wasn't too old.

we just got a new set of lock and lock. they said dishwasher safe but with all i have hurd from you guys is lock pieces snap off easy so im not even putting them in dw.dont want to weaken locks any.

I put them on the top shelf of dishwasher and I don't think I've ever lost a tab.

I have a fair amount of L&L containers--old and new. The older L&Ls were made in Korea and are still going strong. It has been my experience that the newer L&Ls made in China do not last as long. Of the L&Ls that I own, it has only been those made in China that have had broken tabs. I don't have a dishwasher so everything is washed and dried by hand.

I got rid of all of my old plasticware years and years ago and replaced everything with only L&L's. I'm not careful with them whatsoever. I have yet to have any of them break or anything snap off. I often why this happens to others and not me.

I have tons o L&L from both Korea and China and have not seen or experienced any difference whatsoever. I've also had only an occasional problem, not unexpected when we're talking plastic.

Same here. Some of mine are also from Vietnam. All the same.

I even have specific sizes (same HPL #) of which I have several, because they are ones I use for a lot of things. Some made in S. Korea (that's where the company is from), some made in China, and some from Vietnam. They are exactly the same in every way.

I have those bowls. Well, half the set. I gave away the blue, green, and yellow ones. I kept the red, peach, and purple ones. I've had them for quite a few years. So far, so good but I probably don't use them as much as many of mine.

That's interesting because the tab that is broken is from one of my newer sets. As a matter of fact the other 3 tabs look like they are fixing to break also. It was a TSV from Nov or Dec. I have a lot of pieces that are much older with no problems.

One thing that i know will cause a broken tab. If you drop a loaded heavy container onto a hard floor where it lands on a tab it will snap, particularly if the container is coming out of the freezer. Old or new, doesnt matter.

Yup! Fell out of freezer and one tab broke off and the bottom split the whole length of one corner.

The only time I have found that they crack or break is when I drop them out of the freezer. Overall, I have had very few issues at all with my lock & lock. Love it!

...mine are usually when I was simply closing a tab..I have a lot of "tripod" lids...i keep them for time when I cant find one or soemthing..dontknow why I dont throw them out, but Ijust CAN'T!!

I have only had this problem after years of use or they have been in the freezer. Just the other day one of my small one cup containers fell out of the freezer and one corner of the container cracked off. I do not think they hold up well when frozen. Speaking of these containers, anyone reading this considering the set of Kinetics that is the TS on other channel. I really like the largest container to use for non kitchen organization.
