I too love my Eggspress/egg cooker. When the timer goes off I hit the timer button to turn off the timer and then unplug it. I use a paper towel to remove the hot eggs to a bowl and then cover the eggs with cold water. I leave them in the water for approx. 10 minutes then tap the eggs all around the egg and after sitting in the water they peel ever so easily. I use mine every week and sometimes twice a week. DH like egg salad and I like hard boiled eggs. I love mine so much that I tell everyone and they in turn order one for themselves and have told me that they make eggs all different ways and all come out good. I have to try making them the other ways.

Edited to say that while the eggs are in the water cooling I wipe out the bottom of the machine with a damp paper towel. I use only bottled water so that there is no residue on the machine just water marks. I then clean the lid and the plastic thing that holds the eggs.
