I have a small turkey breast I want to cook in the air fryer. The turkey breast is in a cooking bag. Do I need to take it out of the bag to cook it? Can the turkey breast be cooked from frozen or do I need to thaw it first?

thanks

If you are planning on having that tomorrow for Thanksgiving, I sure hope it's in your sink with cold water. Large or small, that's going to take overnight at the least to defrost that.

Also, I wouldn't suggest an air fryer for a turkey breast, roasting in the oven would be so much easier.

Make sure you remove the gravy packet too, most turkey breasts have a package of gravy mix with them.

I just made a Butterballl turkey breast, 3 lb. Thawed two days in the fridge, opened it and took it out of the net bag, seasoned it, put it in the basket of the Cooks Essential air fryer and set the timer for 25 min. at 350. Then flipped it over, and cooked it again for 25 min. I took it out and used a meat thermometer, it wasn't quite done enough, put it back in for 10 more minutes and it came out perfect. It had a beautiful, tasty crust on it, and the meat was tender adn juicy. It was better then deep frying and using all that oil. I am very happy with the results and ease of use.
