I have the CE TSV pressure cooker and hate it. I have so much trouble getting it to seal in order to pressurize. I bought the Wolfgang Puck one from HSN and really like that one. It is so easy to use. I am donating my CE pressure cooker. I have read about the instant pot cooker and would look into that one also.

I've toyed with the idea of buying a pressure cooker, but never pulled the trigger. Today I got my Good Housekeeping magazine, and they gave the farberware cooker their seal. The top was a ******or, very pricey, however the Farberware is at Walmart and I have enough saving catcher points to get it. Have any of you used a cookbook that you would recommend ? I will also look online, but I would like a boo to get started. Thanks in advance.

I love my Instant Pot. I typically just use the time guidelines for cooking whatever my main ingredient is that are in the booklet that came with the pot. I may look online for ideas when I want to fix something new to me, but I honestly seldom follow any recipe. When the time is up, the goes to keep warm status and slowly depressurizes. Since I live alone, I just open it and eat when I get ready to.

My pressure cooker, or more accurately one of my pressure cookers, saved me a rush trip to the grocery last evening.

I arrived home from the vet's office with instructions to feed my dog only chicken and rice for the next few days. I had a chicken breast in the freezer so put it in the pressure cooker, put rice in the rice cooker and in less than a half hour the dog was happily eating.

Without the pressure cooker I would have had to make a run to the store for unfrozen chicken during rush hour (which would have cost a small fortune because I lack "no" control in the supermarket), get back home then cook while hungry baby waited to eat.
