I used to purchase the Swiss Miss kcups but if I don't run water rinse through the Keurig immediately after fixing a cup it could gum up the machine. With the kcup there is not too much control over the final taste. I usually get a can of Stephens Gourmet Hot Cocoa and can always make a good cup.

Does anyone know where to get hot cocoa K-cups that don't have artificial sweetener? I've asked this elsewhere (not on these forums), and everything that's been suggested has sucralose or something similar.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Perhaps someone has found an unsweetened k-cup cocoa to suggest, but I think this is something you are just going to have to trek around and research. Online K-cup descriptions for flavored drinks such as hot chocolate really lack a lot of info about what's actually in the pod. I would go to a large supermarket, or a store which has a large k-cup inventory as Bed Bath Beyond, and read the boxes.

Stop buying hot cocoa K-Cups - they are completely unnecessary for a Keurig and a huge waste of money. They don't use a filter or any special technology, they are just the powder from a normal packet inside a plastic K-Cup and they cost a lot more than the packets.

Just buy the packets, put the powder in your cup like you did before Keurigs, and then use the Keurig to add hot water by running the cycle without adding a K-Cup. You will save yourself money, get ANY hot cocoa you want, and not add an unnecessary plastic pod to the landfill. Everyone wins.

Same with tea. Don't buy tea pods, just put the normal tea bag in the mug and use the Keurig to pour hot water over it. Money saved.

I drink one, maybe 2, cups of coffee a day, but I make a lot of hot tea and iced tea with my Keurig. I do it all with tea bags or loose teas. The only hot cocoa pods I have are the ones that I've gotten as free samples or part of a set.

I got some soup pod samples with my Keurig machine and I used them, but won't repurchase for the same reason.

I've ordered some of my k-cups from Kuerig's website. I get the majority from BBB. Have you found this type of Hot cocoa in the packet form in the supermarket? I usually run the hot water in my mug and customize this way.

NYC Susan, I've been using Land O' Lakes K-cups, I just put a piece of masking tape on the edge of the cup where the Keurig 2.0 sensor is, so it will run hot water through, since that brand is not a "Keurig-approved" brand. I'm using them because they are lower in carbs per serving than any of the loose-powder hot cocoa mixes I have been able to find, and because the plastic cup is recyclable. I just peel the foil off the top and rinse out the remnants of cocoa, and into the recycling bin with them. So far as I can tell there are no artificial sweeteners in it, although it does have maltodextrin. I like the mint-flavored version, and it only has 8 grams of carbs in it, while the same brand/flavor of loose powder mix, following package directions, has something like 30 grams. That's a LOT of difference in carb content! Hope this helps, I would imagine Land O' Lakes must be nationally available, so you should be able to find it!

Susan, what do you consider artificial? I bought my mint-flavored cocoa from a Safeway store in person, and there are no artifical sweeteners in it at all, no sucralose, aspartame, saccharine, or anything else artificial. Perhaps the online version does, but what I buy from Safeway doesn't.
