Your post started me on a search for a small food processor w/a large feeding tube. I have a very old KA - back when the motors were made in France - used once due to lack of counter space.

I think I'm going w/the Cuisinart 7 cup Classic Professional.

I've had a red Kitchenaid mini food processor for a long time, and I use it all of the time. Christmas Day it stopped, right in the middle of chopping. I had to continue my prep work the old fashioned way, but later on when I plugged it in and pushed the button - nothing. DH said the motor is probably done.

I love it and of course they don't make the same style today.

So I'm open to suggestions for any other brands you use and love. Or do any of you have a new version of a Kitchenaid mini? TIA!

I have a mini Cuisinart that works pretty well.

Speaking of food processors, I have a Sunbeam food processor that still works great and has to be 40 years old. I think it was the first one on the market. It is heavy and built like a mac truck. I got it when newly married. (1970). They certainly don't make 'em like that anymore!

I got the big KA food processor and boy what aggravates me is everything has to be exact or that thing won't do squat.

I have to take off the lid and readjust 5 times before I can push the button and get it to go.

Can't figure out how to slice slick peppers in it either. they just jam up
