Thrermo-Works has their Black Friday sale going on now. I have been wanting an MK4 Thermapen for a long time so I finally splurged & bought one. It's $79 with flat rate shipping of $3.99. I know it's expensive but I save $20. At least now I will have an accurate thermometer & won't questions is it done? I also picked up 1 of the super fast pocket thermometers for $16.

I've had one for about 10 years and I love it. It's well worth the money.

@jaxs mom Glad to hear you love it. My family thinks I'm crazy for paying that price. As much as we both cook it will be worth the price IMO. I don't know why I waited so long.

@jaxs mom That's a nice one too. I have a couple that look like that but not that brand. I'm sure they are not accurate like these. I also bought the black leather holder to put the MK4 in.

I doubt it, I don't remember seeing that model for less. I get emails from when they have their open box sales and stuff. If you don't want to pay the price for the thermapen, then the thermapop is very accurate and just slightly slower at reading the temp.

Me either! I bought one a few months ago and the "dot" or round one, and a Pop one! We use the "dot" one all the time. I use it when making yogurt to have it let me know when the milk has cooled. I LOVE it . We use all of them.

It makes cooking so much more accurate to know when the bread or meat is done!

I decided to purchase another Thermoworks Product. The Thermapen Mk4 and Silicone Boot to stick on my refrigerator. Thanks for sharing about the Discount.

I received my order yesterday. That was fast. I used it tonight when we made Filet Mignon on the grill. No guessing is it done. It was just right.

I really love my 11 year old ThermaPen, and Phillip loves his too. He also has his for many years.

It may be a bit expensive but worth it, never a problem and extremely accurate every time, and accuracy is extremely important in the kitchen especially when preparing, cooking, and baking foods which need accurate temp readings.

@kitty4me There was no promo code for it. I just checked the website and the offer is over. The MK4 is $99 now. They have a similiar one that is $79. The board police will probably get rid of this post since it contains a web address....
