I ordered four of St. Clair's side dishes one time, including the stuffing, and didn't like any of them. I threw most of them away after only eating a few bites. I definitely wouldn't recommend trying it for the first time for a holiday meal.

I too would not order this product for the first time and serve it to guests. I would rather be served Stove Top stuffing from a box than this item; at least I can tolerate the taste of the boxed product.

In my house we called it dressing, and it as as important as the turkey. I make this 2-3 days in advance, so the flavors have time to develop. I use a combination of cornbread, old biscuits, bread heels, and leftover hamburger and hot dog buns that have been saved in the freezer, a lot of finely chopped onions and celery sautéed in butter and bacon drippings, the meat from boiled turkey wings (or a pound of cooked pork sausage) salt, pepper, sage, and hot chicken broth. We like our dressing patted out like a burger and baked in a hot oven for 30-40 minutes until it starts to look dry and almost crusty.

In my family, nothing else really matters for a Thanksgiving meal besides the turkey, dressing and gravy.
