I like about wide variety of foods, which I've eaten all over the world, but I am just not a fan of hot peppers. Once my mouth starts burning, I can't even sate the food, and I am not comfortable. I like flavor, not BURN.

Hot, hot, hot! My daughter loves things even hotter. She started out loving eating salsa by the spoon and authentic hot tamales when she was 2 years old sitting in a high chair! I remember her begging for the salsa, so I gave her a tiny bit on a spoon. She kept begging for more and I ended up giving her a bowl of it to eat. She never flinched. As an adult she will eat the hottest peppers ever. When she cooks for others she tries to tame it down.

Jalapenos are about as hot as I can go. I like spicy, but not to the point that it overwhelms the taste of the food or sends me in search of water.

I like for my tongue to tingle, lips to feel numb, and beads of sweat to pop out on my forehead. However, as far as peppers for heat, I only like jalapeño and chipotle. I love a combo heat with strong garlic, a hot onion, and the above peppers.

Bring it on!

The only hot sauce I met that gave me a run for my money was Dave's Ultimate Insanity.

I chop ghost peppers with my bare hands, and add them to my food like parsley.

Hubby is my balance. He thinks Frank's Red Hot is...well, hot. The hottest pepper he can tolerate is a serrano, so I'm limited to what I can cook with. If I take out the seeds and veins, I can cook with jalapenos and the heat will mute. For salads, I can get away with cubanellos and pablanos.

Penzey's has a Berebere ground pepper that has a nice heat to it.
